Job Objectives/Job Summary:

As a Quantity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor, he/she is expected to forecast total capital requirements and monitors expenditure during construction. Performs quantity take-off and handles progress claims, variation order, project costing and contract matters. He/she manages all costs relating to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures as well as doing tendering works and calling for quotation.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Ability to source for suppliers and sub-contractors quotation.
• Tabulation of price comparison and costing summary.
• Preparation of interim valuations, pricing and agreement of contract variations.
• Regular and up-to-date claim submissions and follow-up.
• Assist monthly cost and value report.
• Quantity take-off.
• Preparing tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client.
• Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work.

Job Specifications/Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in building/quantity surveying/civil engineering or its equivalent.

Develop engineering solutions to overcome repetitive failures and other problems that adversely affect plant operations.

Manage and supervise a team of Calibration/E&I Technicians to perform instrument calibration and instrument maintenance activities

• Support maintenance operations and shutdown activities by working with Supervisor and Engineer on developing the annual PM plan, setting work priorities; scheduling PM activities, coordinating and resources planning to meet the schedule in cost-effective way.

Drive Sustainability: Lead initiatives for waste reduction, carbon emissions, and water conservation; assess and adopt renewable energy solutions for the manufacturing plants in semi conductor and petrochemical sectors

Continuous Improvement: Apply data-driven approaches to improve asset reliability and sustainability, integrating best practices across the manufacturing plant.
