We are seeking an experienced senior software development manager to join our AutoCAD development team that focus on building a new suite of features to help our customers work more efficiently and effectively than ever before. We are looking for a passionate, creative and collaborative person who can lead team to success. Responsibilities

• Recruit, coach and develop a talented and highly motivated team to deliver the AutoCAD Windows product successfully 

• Lead and guide teams of highly skilled software engineers to work within a Scrum framework on high-quality solutions in response to stakeholder requirements

• Manage the performance of your team by communicating clear organizational goals and removing impediments

• Inspire and motivate team members to improve productivity and foster creativity while maintaining a healthy work-life balance

• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through ongoing feedback, coaching, and tracking performance. Support individual training and career development

• Drive both the software development process and the right technology decisions while also advocating for appropriate customer improvements and adjustments

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Product Owners, Software Architects, and key stakeholders to build release plans that deliver meaningful value to Customers

• Foster collaborative relationships with other teams to accomplish holistic organizational goals

• Be the spokesperson for the team and champion their accomplishments with upper management and adjacent teams

• Work with a globally distributed team and with team members that are in a hybrid/remote work setting

• Cultivate a culture that promotes Autodesk values, inner sourcing, and a proactive attitude to get things done

• Manage the product backlog, do scrum planning with team, and validate that all new features meet functional, performance, and experience requirements and ensure incremental delivery of business value over time

• Communicate clearly and effectively with different functional teams to identify any risk early and ensure issues can be resolved in time

• Understand product with data analytics

• Strong ownership on the product and team

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors/MS/Ph.D. in a related field (software engineering, computer science, statistics, etc.)

• 10 years working experience with 3 years as people manager

• 5+ years of hands-on C++, C#, .NET programming skills and experience on Microsoft Windows

• Strong communicator who can explain complex topics to both a technical and non-technical audience

• Solid understanding of all phases of the software development lifecycle from analyzing the needs to delivery of working software

• Experienced in Agile software development practice and ceremonies

• Work with the team to break down complex technical requirements into logical execution slices

• Demonstrates mature judgment when making engineering choices, and can reliably make the call between elegant and practical fixes

• Collaborative, respectful, and thoughtful leader who is interested to work in a diverse and global team

• Manage the quality of feature delivery by continuous integration

• Successfully completed three or more commercial software development cycles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience on one of these platforms - Mac, Web, iOS or Android development is a plus

• Experience on one of the graphics technologies, DirectX, Metal, Vulkan is a plus

• Experience on Python script is a plus

• Experience on machine learning is a plus

• Experience on test driven development is a plus

Requirements

The Quality Engineering Specialist is responsible for ensuring that parts shipped meet customer expectations and are produced in the most efficient manner possible.  Also required to assist in the development of new business and responsible for maintaining relations with current customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Quality Related Performance: acquire understanding of customer specific quality requirements and effectively relay information to operations through training and controlled process documentation.

• Lead Problem solving initiatives and guide the team to solve the issues.

• Contain and Disposition all Internal Non-Conforming Material: contain all suspect non-conforming material and use information from quality related documents and production staff to determine if product meets requirements.  Disposition material accordingly.

• Maintain and Develop Customer Relations: speak with customer contacts regularly to inquire about product performance and opportunities for improvement. 

• Update customer scorecard and customer portals

• Maintain and Develop Supplier Relations: clarify our requirements, initiate improvement, and monitor performance.  Speak with suppliers regularly about the expectations of our customers.

• Initiate and Manage Corrective Action: lead the corrective action process for the purpose of resolving both internal and external quality issues.

• Develop and analyze statistical data to monitor quality performance and reduce nonconforming occurrences.

• Participate in the implementation of corrective and preventative actions.

• Scrap Reduction: monitor part and defect specific scrap levels at all processes and implement cost reduction actions.

• Training:  instruct inspectors and PA’s on proper job practices pertaining to such things as gauge operation, inspection standards, corrective actions, etc.

• Creation and Maintenance of IATF Documents: involved in PPAP submission, development of PCP, FMEA, new product launch and internal documentation, and all relevant APQP.

• Production Support: assist with daily production issues.  Develop rework strategies, modify processes, establish acceptance criteria, etc.

• Involvement in Continuous Improvement activities related to Quality, Productivity, Engineering, IATF etc.

• Work in compliance with Stackpole PMDM Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.

Job Requirements:

• Strong Problem-solving skill and hands on experience of problem-solving tools.

• Strong technical background coupled with a minimum three-year diploma in mechanical engineering or materials engineering or equivalent.

• Must be familiar with best practices in Quality Assurance, application of SPC, tool design, error proofing techniques, IATF 16949, etc. and employee motivational techniques.

• Hands-on, well organized, possess good interpersonal and communication skills, as well as a demonstrated ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.

• Five plus years of relevant experience.

• Candidates with a Powder Metallurgy Technologist (PMT) Certification level 1 will be preferred, successful candidate will be required to obtain certification.

• Able to travel to customer locations, U.S.A., Mexico and Asia

Reporting to the engineering simulation products director, the Engineering Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for all health and safety topics related to flight simulator installations, integration, and tests, both in Montréal and at the customer location. Here are some of the main tasks related to this position:

• Be the first point of contact for any health and safety matter in Engineering.
• Provide key messages about health and safety (sensibilization, news, training in progress).
• Collect information that would not have been entered in the health and safety events identification reporting tool.
• Collect any suggestion for processes and tools improvements.
• Coordinate health and safety policies.
• Detail the various policies.
• Adapt the policies to the employees day to day work.
• Ensure people are up to date with their training.
• Adapt the different training to the Engineering reality.
• Add pertinent training to the corpus.
• Follow the step-by-step calendar with the installation schedule.
• For the creation of the WMS (Work Method Statement).
• To the project managers, for the RAMS opening and the creation of the FDSR (Field Deployment Safety Review)
• Ensure customer building requirements respect health and safety standards.
• Projects follow-up during the pre-installation phase.
• Ensure the Go-NoGo checklist filter is done.
• Bring recommendations to the committee for the start dates of the work.

• Gather improvement and suggestion comments related to health and safety.
• Propagate the installation vision.
• Bring installation health and safety point of view to new products development.
• Participate with hardware engineering in the safety design review process for existing products.
• Ensure engineering employees have easy access at all time to the individual protection equipment.
• Ensure safety kits are complete and up to date.
• Prepare reports for first and second management levels as well as for the director on improvement measures, metrics followed and established objectives.

Our ideal candidate has:

• A bachelor’s degree with specialty in appropriate field (work health and safety, industrial relations, engineering, environment, industrial hygiene).
• Excellent knowledge of rules and legal standards (AROHS (Act respecting occupational health and safety), RROHS (Regulation respecting occupational health and safety), EQA (Environment Quality Act)).
• A minimum experience of 4 to 6 years in health and safety in a company.
• A construction site experience as an asset.
