This is a brilliant opportunity to work as part of the MEH Alliance on the prestigious Hinkley Point C Nuclear project. The alliance work across the project to integrate and coordinate the delivery of all main Mechanical, Electrical, Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (MEH), cabling and associated support services. This innovative approach will help different contractors work as a single entity to deliver the complex installation of cabling and pipework in the power station's vast network of rooms.
The role
As a Engineering Coordination Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. Being part of the MEH Alliance working on Hinkley Point C is a chance to be involved in a major project with national significance. Join us and be part of our drive to a cleaner energy future in Europe's biggest construction site, working on the most innovative project in the UK.
Day-to-day, you'll build a strong and compliant Health Safety & Environment culture throughout the whole construction life cycle of the Project. Managing the Site Project Engineering Team and the Site Permitting Team to plan, review and lead resolution on engineering challenges.
- Lead interface with MEH Engineering and the JDO when required
- Conduct document, monthly and progress reviews
- Attend CEMAR and Chair Lead meetings
- Leading the implementation of SWITCH within the Construction Team
- Conduct interviews for new team members and undertake PDRs for direct reports.
This role is full time 38 hours per week, and is based at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater.
Essential experience of the Engineering Coordination Lead
- Experienced in delivering and operating at an Engineer or Senior Engineer level, including experience working within Joint Ventures
- Experience working on major construction projects
- Proven track record in nuclear power (preferred)
Qualifications for the Engineering Coordination Lead
- Degree Qualification (or Equivalent)
- IOSH Managing Safely - Desirable
- Relevant Professional Accreditation (PM, Construction, Engineering) - Desirable
Security Clearance
