Role and Responsibilities:

As a Education Development Specialist, you will play an integral role in developing and promoting our programs. Your role will encompass:

1. Business and Program Development: Shape and refine the strategic direction of Grow Education's initiatives. Identify opportunities for program enhancement and expansion.

2. Partnership Building & Social Outreach: Forge strong relationships with potential partners including migrant worker organizations, dormitories, elderly centers, and other relevant groups. Generate awareness and foster a sense of community through these partnerships.

3. Marketing and Promotion: Design and implement strategies to promote our programs, reaching out to potential beneficiaries and supporters.

4. Manage and monitor the financial aspects of our programs. Conduct basic monthly financial checks to ensure proper management of resources.

Accountabilities:

HE Programme Delivery: Monitor and maintain an efficient and coordinated system to deliver the programmes. Oversee contracts, payments, billing, enrolment system set-up, student's pass validity and report checking. Ensure proper set-up for class selection, course evaluation and online teaching platforms. Job Responsibilities

• Organise & coordinate training programmes according to the organisation/department’s needs and staff development plans.

• Supervise students and manage pupil behaviours in the classroom and on school premises to inculcate school values and enforce discipline
• Document concerns of students to facilitate problem solving with parents and professional support staff
• Conduct Parent-Teacher Conferencing to discuss students’ strengths, weaknesses and identify areas of focus to support IEP goals and transition
• Provide information to parents for home-school communications to support students’ progress
• Make home visits for students with high support needs and craft intervention strategies to meet student social and emotional needs
• Establish work plan priorities to meet school strategic thrusts
• Actively involved in staff meetings, co-curricular activities, educational conferences, and school programs.
• Participate in parents' evenings and school-wide training events to promote home-school partnership.
• Participate in organizing school events, including sporting events, learning journey and other excursions like camping trips and educational tours

Job Requirements:

• Diploma/ Degree from recognised Institutions with GCE ‘O’ level credits in English and Mathematics
• Prior experience with Students with Mid Intellectual Disabilities (MID) is preferred
• Specific subject knowledge, knowledge in special needs education and behaviour modification, Microsoft office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Interpersonal skills, classroom management skills, takes Initiative, effective communication Strong in verbal and written English
• Prior experience handling Numeracy/ Literacy, WPLN, Science, HSR, SEL/ CCE and Vocational Guidance is an added advantage.

Job Description:

• Deliver engaging and interactive Chinese Speech and Drama lessons, as well as Mandarin classes, tailored for preschool children.
• Collaborate in curriculum planning and development to ensure alignment with educational objectives.
• Monitor and meticulously document students' progress and performance, providing constructive feedback where necessary.
• Maintain open communication with parents, keeping them informed about their children's progress and achievements in class.
• Play a pivotal role in the strategic and operational advancement of the school.
• Participate in a minimum of 2 mandatory training sessions per term to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
• Utilize Class Dojo Application to provide regular updates and insights to parents after each lesson.

Job Requirements:

• Hold a tertiary education qualification, certification in Mandarin education, Chinese Speech and Drama, or equivalent.
• Possess a minimum of one year of relevant teaching experience, specifically with children aged 3 to 6 years old.
• Previous experience and training in Chinese language instruction, music and movement, as well as speech and drama, are highly desirable.
• Demonstrated passion for education, particularly with preschool-aged children, with a preference for candidates enthusiastic about arts and drama.
• Required to work on 4 weekdays and 1 weekend.
• Excellent command of Mandarin, with fluency in both spoken and written forms. Strong communication skills and effective classroom management abilities are essential.
