Role Overview:
To provide a superior level of customer service to all customers contacting the Technical Advice Centre and complaint resolution via various platforms including social media. Championing the voice of the customer ensuring all customers are properly managed and their feedback shared with the business, to improve products for the future. Managing your own time with up to 80 open complaints at any one time, whilst managing complaint costs in a fast paced and pressured environment. Negotiating complaints worth thousands which could have legal involvement along with multiple stakeholders.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Deal with any customer query relating to their current or possible future needs. Sharing customer trends in feedback to develop improvements in future product and service offering.
• To ensure all open complaints are contacted at the set frequency to maintain ownership and the customer expectation.
• Record all data on CRM accurately according to the needs of the business.
• To be prepared to make decisions, agree and negotiate settlements that could be worth thousands of pounds. Ensuring the appropriate level of sign off is agreed throughout the process.
• Understanding the risks involved with handling social media interactions, with a unique style of writing and responding on a social platform within agreed timeframes.
• Communicating with third party suppliers regarding any queries either party may have regarding products or orders placed.
• Organising laboratory testing to help resolve customer complaints by means of samples.
• Placing literature and sample orders
• Respond to all customer feedback generated via Survey Monkey
• Report any website errors to the appropriate teams
• Adhere to all HSE and clear desk policies.
• Understanding the importance and risks that are associated with customer HSE complaints. Managing the HSE Alerts process in each case.

• The ability to manage a difficult customer; able to diffuse a situation and propose a suitable resolution. Whilst remaining calm and not taking and comment from the customer personally.
• In the role the Advisor needs to be able to handle the pressure of workload and stresses that come from a high pressured customer contact environment.

Using your excellent communication and customer service skills, the Customer Service is responsible for:

• Providing our customers with expert technical advice, including specification advice on all decorative brands & products. Able to identify complaints and issues that may be potentially sensitive or may risk the businesses reputation and highlight to the crisis team as appropriate.
• Turning complaints into opportunities & maintaining ownership at every opportunity, whilst proactively promoting products and services.
• You will also be responsible for agreeing & negotiating settlements that are satisfactory to the customer and appropriate to the business.
• To interact with customers over the phone, in writing (letters & emails) and on social media platforms
• The ability to effectively communicate different types of technical reports to all types of customers, in a way they can understand.
• Being a team player and assisting your colleagues where necessary with day to day administration tasks, including allocation of post, filing, processing free of charges, courier requests and logging complaints.

You will have an excellent understanding of IT packages, ideally including SAP, Word and Excel and previous customer service based environment experience to include inbound and outbound phone contact.

About the role

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Service Manager to join our Family Help & Safeguarding service. We firmly believe that relationship-based social work makes a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families, and our generic Together for Families Teams, ASYE Academy Team, and Supporting Families Team all focus on delivering outstanding support to families.


Our Together for Families (TfF) Teams have been developed in order to allow children and families to benefit from the continuity of having only one social worker, and to form a relationship with that worker that promotes sustained positive change. The benefit for our social workers in this practice model is the ability to form consistent, meaningful relationship with children and their families; the opportunity to learn and to develop new skills whilst working across the journey of the child in statutory social work; to have lower caseloads, and a supportive environment that makes relationship-based social work flourish.


Our Together for Families teams, and the ASYE Academy Team both work with children during S.17 (Children Act, 1989) single assessments, S.47 child protection investigations, as well as working with children subject to Child In Need Plans, Child Protection Plans, pre-proceedings, proceedings and those becoming looked after.


Our Supporting Families Team currently provides a range of supportive interventions including supervised contact for Children Looked After; specialist support for parent/carers with substance misuse difficulties via a Consultant Practitioner; providing direct work and parenting interventions for those children subject to CIN and CP Plans and offering group work support for parents/carers who are survivors of domestic abuse. There is also now an exciting development within the Team to introduce a small group of Lead Practitioners to case hold Child in Need (S.17, Children Act 1989) cases, with the support of a social work qualified and experienced Assistant Team Manager.


As a Service Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing 4 Together for Families Teams, each team comprising a Team Manager and 5 social workers and taking new cases from our Children’s Single Point of Access Team (MASH) on a 9-week duty cycle. You will also manage the ASYE Academy Team, comprising of a Team Manager, 3 Consultant Practitioners and 9 ASYEs.

You will provide passionate and inspiring leadership to your Teams, providing regular high quality management oversight, supervision and support. You will ensure that the child’s lived experience is at the very heart of everything that is done. Domestic Gas Engineers required for servicing and breakdown work on domestic properties. This large organisation is interested in qualified, experienced gas engineers that can commit to a full working week Mon-Fri 8am-5pm as PAYE employed. There are also other opportunities to earn extra through O/T and call out if requested but average earnings are 45-50k on a normal 8 hour day. A successful candidate will be reliable, hardworking and driven to deliver the very best service to all of our clients and their residents. They will have an excellent attitude and will always be looking to learn and develop. Role:

• This Service Advisor position entails dealing with the customer as they wish to book their vehicle into the workshop. Delivering high levels of customer service you will find their requirements and advise on cost, time scale and what exactly will happen
• The role is with a busy dealership that requires someone who can deal with the volumes while delivering a high standard of customer service

Requirement:

• The right individual must have previous motor trade experience. We may consider someone from an independent garage who can show the knowledge, confidence and driven manner.
• Have a steady work history
• At least 2 years' experience working within the motor trade / car dealership as a Service Advisor
• Pinnacle or Kerridge experience is preferable but not essential. Having experience with some sort of dealership system.

Brighter Futures for Children is a not-for-profit company, owned by, but independent of, Reading Borough Council. Although we are independent, we are very much part of the Reading Family. About the role



We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our CSPOA team. This is a key management post with both operational and strategic responsibilities.




You will work together and across local partnerships to provide the right support and services at the right time to deliver the best possible outcomes for children and their families.




The postholder is responsible for delivering statutory and non-statutory services as identified including:

Children Single Point of Access (CSPoA)
Partnership Team
One Reading Children & Young People’s Partnership
Reducing Parental Conflict Programme



You will lead on the operational management of CSPoA, ensuring it delivers an effective and safe service that meets key performance requirements.




You will ensure that the Partnership team works effectively for individual children while, at the same time, developing robust and effective partnerships with schools, health colleagues and other key partners. This work will focus on reducing the escalation of need and risk while contributing to increased resilience across the partnership.




You will provide strategic leadership (alongside the Head of Service) in the development of the One Reading Children & Young People’s Partnership arrangements, including the development of the Early Help Strategy across the partnership and the engagement of partners in delivering on that strategy.




You will be wholly focused on brighter outcomes for children and young people and will be able to demonstrate how you’ve achieved this.




You will be the strategic lead for the Reducing Parental Conflict Programme, a grant funded programme funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to support the partnership to work with parents and carers where conflict features that is frequent, intense and unresolved. At this time there is a commitment for this programme from the DWP until March 2025.

Our Registered Service Manager will be working alongside local authorities, healthcare professionals and the families of the people we support as well as leading a team to ensure that people gain more independence in their daily lives and have positive outcomes. You will be managing the day-to-day running of the service(s), developing and implementing person centred support plans, conducting care needs assessments, recruiting and inducting new colleagues, completing supervisions/appraisals, completing medication competencies and medication audits, attending mutli-disciplinary meetings, completing quarterly audits and reports, effectively manage the services P&L, ensure regulatory, legislative, internal and contractual requirements are met including relevant notifications and adherence to policies and procedures.
