Work with colleagues across DHSC and ALBs to identify and ensure the maintenance of business-critical activities. Ensure the business and budgetary planning processes are fully in place and functioning effectively, reporting to agreed standards and timescales. Ensure succession planning within the function, responsible for the retention, recruitment, interviewing, selection, and induction of new staff in the function. Ensure effective governance of the function through a process of management team meetings and review of relevant governance issues including health and safety and risk. Resolve complaints, grievances, capability, and disciplinary issues at the appropriate level. Providing leadership in a changing environment. Act on behalf of the Regional Director with responsibility for Public Health Intelligence as required. In delivering the strategic objectives the post-holder will be expected to demonstrate expertise in the full range of relevant competencies as set out by the Faculty of Public Health. This includes evaluation techniques, policy analysis and translation and ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders including politicians. In addition to any direct responsibility for managing staff or budgets, he/she will be responsible for change and improvement in the agreed areas of work and for supporting the delivery of DHSC responsibilities.

The Joint Digital Policy Unit works across DHSC and NHSE to drive the digitally-and data-enabled transformation of health and social care, and the Secretary of State’s digital reform priorities. It sits as part of the wider NHS Transformation Directorate which brings together the former functions of NHSX, along with NHS Digital.

Job Role

The Deputy Director – Tech Policy, Implementation and Data Analytics sits in Digital Policy and Programmes directorate.

This division is at the heart of developing and implementing policy, enabling teams to drive forward DPU’s key priorities. It responds to
emerging priorities in health technology - picking up often urgent cross-cutting projects,msupporting the implementation of wider programmes, building policy capability across the NHSE’s Transformation Directorate, and carrying out key departmental functions on behalf of DHSC.

The division is at the heart of developing and implementing policy, enabling teams to drive forward DPU’s key priorities.

This is an exciting post, supporting government to delivery on its health objectives by digitally transforming the NHS. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic policy professional to lead the Tech Policy division of around 18 people.

Key Responsibilities

As Deputy Director – Tech Policy, Implementation and Data Analytics your key responsibilities will include:

• leading policy of several of the key delivery programmes in the Transformation Directorate, including electronic patient records, leading the division to provide expert policy input and engaging with Ministers;
• engaging with policy teams across the Department and NHSE to ensure that digital health is considered as a key enabler to their strategies and policy delivery, e.g. feeding into the 10-year plan for health and the SR;
• engaging internationally, both bilaterally and via the Global Digital Health Partnership and other multilateral fora, to learn from and work collaboratively with other countries;
• the DPU’s Implementation Unit, an internal consultancy service within the Directorate. It provides policy and implementation expertise to solve and support work on health and social care’s biggest digital and transformation challenges;
• the DPU’s internal data and analytics team – a small team comprising analysts and data scientists.

You will also, of course, play your role in leading the wider DPU as part of a cadre of around 10 other DDs and Band 9s.

Your new job as a Construction Client Service Director will be working for a specialist Independent Lloyd's Insurance Broker with offices based around the UK to include the City, Watford and the Southeast who provide, unparallel services to meet client demands and needs. They have more than 100 staff across the offices and are looking to expand that number further. Due to substantial growth within the Construction team a position for a Construction Client Service Director with UK Construction ( CAR) and related risks has arisen.


Your new role
Your new role will be working as Construction Client Service Director based within their London offices will be hybrid working 3 days in the office, (the rest from home) . You will be responsible for fully servicing a book of Construction clients, as well as try to encourage growth plans for your allocated client portfolio by cross selling new and renewal business. Dealing with your clients from inception to completion alongside Account Executives and Account Handlers. Your new role will also include developing and enhancing relationships with key insurers and underwriters and work closely with the other divisions in forging long-term relationships with existing and new clients. This role will also include advising on existing products. This is an all-encompassing Client Director role which is very client centric and will require your Technical and Account management experience to work as part of an established Construction team in looking after your allocated clients and helping to grow the business,

What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Senior Construction Account Executive or Client Director with CAR experience will contribute to your success in securing this role. Experience of working to multiple priorities and working across a range of tasks Educated to Good standards ( i.e. A Level or equivalent) or enough experience in a previous role to demonstrate suitable skills and ideally minimum Cert CII qualified.

What you will do:

• Establish C-level relationships during sales cycle to understand customer key business objective and critical metrics, and instill confidence in our ability to deliver on the expected business outcomes.

• Act as the focal point of contact and liaison post-sale between customer Executives and Adobe teams including Product teams, Legal, Engineering, Professional Services, Technical Support, Technical Account Management and Customer Success.

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Influence on both customer stakeholders and internal Adobe counterparts, navigating challenging conversations that may emerge during the customer journey.

• Strong executive presence and presentation skills, comfortable collaborating with and speaking publicly to C-suite executives. Ability to understand and communicate path to business value through technology transformation.

Key responsibilities

• To direct the Client’s most ambitious housebuilding programme for 30 years, overseeing the building of new homes for rent and sale, including identification of sites, all consultations, planning compliance, designation of developments for people with special support needs and delivery of the building programme.
