The Chief Nurse, Acute Care provides executive oversight for daily clinical and administrative operations with supervision of the Nurse Managers over the following areas: Inpatient Case Management, STAT Team, Centralized Telemetry office, Medical/Surgical units, Intensive Care units, and Progressive Care unit. Collaborates across care disciplines to assess, design, plan, implement and evaluate interdisciplinary programs within the service and medical center.

The Chief Nurse, Acute Care provides senior leadership within nursing, as directed by the Associate Director for Patient Care Services (ADPCS) and/or the Deputy Associate Director for Patient Care Services (DADPCS). They are responsible for the practice of nursing 24/7 and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, standards of patient care, treatment, and services, nursing practice standards, staffing plans, functional statements, and standards to measure, assess, and improve patient outcomes. The incumbent appropriately delegates activities to services assigned to them under their purview. Ensures a competency process is in place to evaluate individual practice, as well as a review process for annual performance ratings.

The Chief Nurse, Acute Care supports the integration and collaboration of nursing with other professional disciplines and functional areas in the mutual achievement of patient-centered and organizational goals. They champion a High-Reliability Organization (HRO) with a culture of safety founded on a systems approach to developing evidence-based healthcare solutions based on prevention, not punishment, with collective mindfulness.

• Demonstrated knowledge of staffing methodology
• Demonstrated knowledge of regulatory bodies and compliance standards
• Demonstrated experience with TJC Awareness of nurse sensitive indicators and evidence of outcome metrics
• Experience developing and leading strategic initiatives
• Progressive Leadership experience with demonstrated high quality outcomes
• Prior Acute Care experience.
• The successful candidate will have highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability for intradisciplinary collaboration

• Serves as agency representative between the State Office and Service Centers in an assigned district of service centers.
• Provides oversight, program advice, training and guidance to County committees and service center staffs on commodity programs and farm loan programs.
• Conducts ongoing evaluations of program and administrative operations in service enters within the district.
• Makes loan program decisions or recommendations in those areas beyond the delegated authority of the Farm Loan Managers.
• Supervises Farm Loan Managers.

This position is located within the Division of Facility Management at Everglades National Park and is duty stationed at park headquarters in Homestead Florida. The Supervisory Interdisciplinary (Branch Chief Design and Construction) is responsible for, and has authority to, initiate, establish, guide, and control a broad range of project planning, design and construction efforts from inception through completion.

• Supervises an interdisciplinary staff of professional designers (engineers/architects/landscape architects) and project managers to accomplish this work within Everglades and Dry Tortugas National Parks.
• Reviews and manages the Facility Management Division's annual operating budget and project budgets, adjusting account allocations over time throughout the fiscal year. Accommodates provisions for adequate staffing, completion of routine administrative work, purchase of supplies and materials, employee training and travel, AE management, and execution of specially funded projects within respective operating funds and project budgets.
• Serves as the park's Facility Management Division lead contracting officer's representative (COR). Requests funding clearance for contract modifications from WASO/Region or other authority as appropriate. Coordinates review of submittals and word of on-sight inspector, Oversees project closure (closeout: post occupancy, warranty review, as built).
• Leads and manages the park's environmental management system and maintains up to date, accurate records of the park's environmental liabilities.
• Responsible for the on-the-job safety and health of all employees supervised. Initiates efforts conforming to established local and bureau safety programs to satisfy this responsibility.
