What Will You Be Doing?

You'll work as part of a two-person crew, handling tasks like breaking up ground and replacing or installing digital units across the local area, with occasional travel further afield as needed. The position offers a competitive salary of £34,000 to £40,000, %8 annual bonus, 25 days' paid leave (plus bank holidays), flexible working options, training opportunities, and fully expensed tools and PPE.

If you don't already hold a Class 2 HGV license, training and costs are fully covered to help you obtain it. This physically active role involves working at heights, primarily using step ladders, so teamwork and clear communication with your crew partner are essential.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Transport digital units from the depot to sites using an HGV truck (after training).
• Break ground and install digital units.
• Replace parts on digital units as needed.
• Manage workload with your crew partner and coordinate with other local teams.
• Adhere to Construction Design and Management Regulations 2015.
• Ensure traffic management is in place and follow safety protocols to secure the work area.
• Adhere to health and safety policies, using equipment properly and maintaining tools safely.

Knowledge, Experience, and Attributes:

• Full driving licence (max. 3 points).
• CPCS A36 Lorry loader hook (novice or above).
• CPCS Slinger certification.
• Competency in CAT use.
• NRSWA accreditation (Operative standard).
• Knowledge of excavation and sub-structure work.

The firm has a well-established client base, acting for the vast majority of household and commercial property Insurers in the market, as well as some large insureds and cover holders. The team handles a wide variety of claims arising out of property damage, including (amongst other things) fire, water, subsidence, construction and impact damage.

This role is based in our client's Bristol office, however you will be able to work remotely from home for part of the week if desired, as the firm operates a hybrid working policy.

Your new role
The role largely involves running a case load of subrogated recovery matters on behalf of a range of insurers. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to run a property recovery claim from first instruction, through the pre-action stage and into proceedings when necessary. A familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules is therefore necessary.

The work will be varied, interesting and challenging and where you show you can run the cases successfully, you will be given autonomy to stamp your own mark on the files; there will be the opportunity to work on matters varying in value from £10,000 all the way up to millions of pounds. You will also get involved with business development and client initiatives, where appropriate.

In addition, you can expect to:

Manage a large caseload of Property Insurance claims.
Deliver a high quality and timely output to clients, ensuring high levels of client service and alignment with agreed working practices and client service level agreements.
Capture and collate required Management Information in accordance with agreed practice for clients.
Contribute to the development and improvement of the team's service, support, processes and procedures.

What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have prior Claims Handling and/or litigation experience, including running a case load. Experience of Insurance is preferable but not essential. Our client is happy to consider candidates either with a Law degree, those working towards ACII, CILEx or equivalent legal qualification, or alternatively you might have significant experience in claims, with technical knowledge and experience. Candidates should have litigation experience and a familiarity with Civil Procedure Rules.

An understanding of how to provide excellent customer service is essential, and you will be hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated, with competent skills in Microsoft Office. Previous experience of using a case management system is desirable.

Your new firm

With significant growth in their Clean Energy Real Estate practice, they are now looking to recruit a recently qualified Real Estate lawyer to join their Bristol office.


Your new role
You will be joining their award-winning clean energy team providing a full range of transactional and advisory real estate services to clients with an established foothold in the renewables sector. You will have the opportunity to support a national and international client base on the real estate elements of major energy infrastructure developments, with projects including onshore wind, offshore wind, biomass, wave, tidal, hydro, solar, energy storage, anaerobic digestion and energy from waste.


What you'll need to succeed
You will be a recently qualified lawyer who has trained and qualified with a respected City or national firm with a highly regarded real estate practice and be looking to develop your career with a national leader in the clean energy sector. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary clean energy practice spanning the firm's transactional offering with the opportunity to develop a name for yourself in this exciting and rapidly growing sector.
Whilst having experience in the energy sector would certainly be a distinct advantage, the firm are happy to consider Real Estate lawyers with a broader Real Estate skillset but who can evidence a clear passion for the renewables sector and a desire to develop a clean energy specialism to their practice.
