The role
As a Production Planning Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role brings all the different parts of the project lifecycle together and it involves production planning for various projects of varying complexity within the Nuclear industry involving project work going on until at least 2032.

Day-to-day, you'll always work in a safe and appropriate manner and strive to set the highest personal standards of safety.

• Provide clear and visible tracking of work packages into the facility or about to be launched into work in progress.
• Attend as many as practical daily setting to work meetings to enable you to collate information.
• Attend weekly stakeholder review meetings and fully feedback to stakeholder where we are in the programme and understand future load and maintain a quotes and Project Scope Authorisation (PSA) tracker.
• Produce weekly, monthly sales/delivery forecast.
• Produce works documentation "Job Bags" etc and to liaise with stores on kitting priorities.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and is based in Leicester.

Essential experience of the Production Planning Engineer:

• Proven experience in production planning/production control.
• Must have familiarity of working with production lifecycles.
• Must have an understand regulatory and statutory requirements of production, manufacturing and commissioning activities.

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 2-3 months

The purpose of the role is to deliver financial accounting and drive performance improvements through effective financial monitoring, advice and support by partnering with services.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion excellent management of financial resources, promoting probity, efficiency, high performance and overall value for money with service areas.
Build partnerships and maintain strong relationships with team managers and their teams.
Produce month end financial monitoring and lead services in undertaking regular and timely review and challenge.
Support and advise strategic and operational decision-making, driving commercial opportunities and better business performance.
Undertake specific duties as part of the production of the annual statement of accounts.
Undertake specific duties in a designated area of specialism on behalf of the team.
Support key projects with the provision of financial advice.



Qualification.

AAT qualified (or equivalent) with a minimum of three years post qualification experience within a financial environment or substantial relevant demonstrable experience in finance.



Skills & Experience:

A minimum of two years’ experience and knowledge of accounting for Housing Revenue Accounts (HRA).
Experience of budget preparation and monitoring.
Experience of Finance Business Partnering.
Experience/understanding of statutory accounting and reporting requirements.
Experience and knowledge of accounting for Housing Revenue Accounts.
A sound understanding of general accounting principles.
Experience in the use of MS Excel and MS Word (or equivalent) and integrated financial systems.
Ability to interpret and advise on financial and performance data.
Experience of closing down the HRA year-end accounts.
Experience of effective budget preparation and monitoring.
Experience/understanding of statutory accounting and reporting requirements.

Job Details

• Creating and updating process documentation for existing processes, including standard operating procedures and process maps, as well as updating the process register
  
• Liaising and collaborating with other teams and business areas for process management reviews, coordinating review meetings as necessary
  
• Undertaking process control reviews, testing control effectiveness and evidence and supporting action plans for control strengthening requirements within the business
  
• Supporting with process improvement initiatives across the function, working with our Process Improvement Leads to capture requirements, data and solutions and delivering revised process documentation
  
• Coordinating and attending process improvement workshops to support facilitation, capturing actions and notes and circulating to attendees with delivery plans
  
• Enhancing the process metadata information for effective, smart use that provides a joined up view of processes and journeys
