The Roles
Due to our healthy pipeline of projects, we are looking to hire experienced project managers, project engineers and controllers, and design schedulers to complement our highly skilled design and engineering team at our Burswood office, close to the Perth CBD.
Duties include but are not limited to:
PROJECT MANAGER / DESIGN MANAGER
• Identify, recommend, coordinate, and drive the design and engineering team to complete detailed design and documentation in a timely manner.
• Recommend cost-effective construction strategies and methodologies.
• Provide support and mentorship to the design and engineering team.
• Foster and manage a collaborative team environment to produce high-quality documentation using organizational knowledge and systems.
• Execute the design process to achieve design intent and exceed client expectations.
• Lead the successful delivery and profitability of a portfolio of projects or a project of considerable complexity or size.
• Play an active role in mentoring and coaching team members and managing team performance.
• Manage relationships with clients and consultants and ensure alignment between client and project team.
PROJECT CONTROLLER / CONTROLS ENGINEER
• Create, maintain, update and report on the project deliverable and resource schedules in Primavera or Microsoft Project.
• Evaluate and report schedule deviations, input into change management requirements.
• Support compliance with standardised processes, systems and tools.
• Liaise with managers to establish estimate and schedule compliance with governance requirements.
• Identify, track and secure approval of project changes (budget and forecast) and monitor and escalate project variations with managers.
• Provide input to the project management team and suggest improvements for efficiency.
• Prepare, revise and communicate cost/project control procedures as necessary.
• Prepare consistent and timely reports of project activities.
• Review estimates – verify costs and coding to align scope and schedule.
• Verify coding of timesheets, costs, quantities, progress and other project data for system input.
• Verify tracking and analysis of progress, manpower, productivity and costs.
• Verify forecasting of progress, manpower, productivity and costs.
DESIGN SCHEDULER
• Develop, manage, and maintain design project schedules, ensuring timelines are met.
• Coordinate with design teams to ensure schedules align with project deliverables.
• Monitor project progress and identify potential scheduling conflicts or delays.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to adjust schedules as needed.
• Prepare detailed reports on project status, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Ensure all scheduling data is accurate and up to date in project management software.
• Provide support in the planning and execution of design project activities.
• Communicate schedule updates and changes to relevant stakeholders promptly.
• Pioneer best practice for use of scheduling software packages including to develop scheduling guidelines, and standardised schedules for repetitive project work.
Your Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated experience in utilities, construction and / or resources industry.
• Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of products and Microsoft Project.
• Ability to work well under pressure whilst maintaining high level of accuracy.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise, schedule and plan day-to-day work.
• Ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining an organised and structured project.
