We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Trunker Driver for an industry leading distributor. The role involves 2-3 drops depot to depot. This is an ongoing role with the potential to go permanent for the right candidate. The right candidate must have over 2years on their Class 1 licenceWorkchain, a leading UK-based recruitment agency, is seeking qualified and experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our esteemed client's team in Bilborough. This is a temporary position within the driving industry, offering competitive pay rates ranging from £14.00 to £17.00 per hour.Responsibilities:- Safely and efficiently transport goods and materials across various locations, adhering to traffic regulations and company policies- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and report any defects or discrepancies promptly- Load and unload cargo in a secure and efficient manner, following proper handling procedures- Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements- Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and hours worked- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with clients and colleaguesQualifications and Skills:- Hold a valid HGV Class 1 driving license over 2years, with no more than 6 penalty points- Possess a valid Driver CPC card- Previous experience and a good understanding of the driving industry- Excellent knowledge of UK road regulations and traffic signs- Ability to work independently, demonstrating effective time management and organizational skills- Strong attention to detail with the ability to cope with pressure in a fast-paced environment- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written- Flexible availability, as the role may involve early morning, evening, and occasional weekend shiftsTo apply for this role, please visit our website at workchain.co.uk and complete the online application form.
