Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. The role:
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join our Science team at Gower College Swansea working at Gorseinon and Tycoch Campus.
Full-time (37 hours per week)
Term time (36 weeks per annum)
Fixed term for 1 year, covering maternity leave
£18,698 - £19,097 per annum
Gorseinon & Tycoch campus
Key Responsibilities:
Liaise with teaching staff to support the delivery of A Level and Vocational Science courses
Ensure that all practical sessions are planned effectively and a safe working environment is maintained
Complete First Responder training and undertake the duties
About you:
Ideally possess a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and Science
Ideally with a science background and a current knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
Recent experience of working as a Science Technician in an educational setting is desirable
Sound administration skills and be proficient in the use of spreadsheets and databases
