What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking a full-time Receptionist/Administrative Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. The role will involve support for the school’s general administration including reception duties, and other key functions such as the parents’ evening booking system, or home-school communication. There are two busy receptions in school and we anticipate the postholder being based in our main visitor reception. This role will involve some first-aid duties and the successful candidate should be willing to undertake any necessary training.
The successful candidate will have excellent administrative skills, IT skills and be highly efficient and organised. Whilst experience in a school is not essential, we are looking for someone who is used to operating IT systems in a front of house setting. The post requires you to be able to deal sensitively with a variety of situations with students, staff, parents and external organisations. An ability to remain calm in stressful situations and a flexible approach with highly accurate written communication skills are essential.
