This role has a starting salary of £26,777 per annum, for working 36 hours per week. This is a 6-month fixed term contract opportunity.

The Surrey Pension Fund is part of the national Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS). We are recruiting a Pensions Trainee to help us achieve our goals. Reporting directly to the Membership and Data Quality manager, you will predominantly undertake operational work with specific responsibility for the processing of case work. As the Pensions Trainee, you will carry out the processing for new entrants and leavers of the scheme and assist with recording and logging of post and hard copy communications. You will also support the wider teams across Surrey Pensions where required.
Shortlisting Criteria
To be considered for shortlisting for this position, your application will clearly evidence the following:
- Minimum 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, or equivalent, or able to evidence ability at an equivalent level
- Competency in a range of IT tools
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work with others to achieve objectives and provide excellent customer service
