Job title: EC&I Design Engineer

Location: Preston - Hybrid working available
Hours of work: 37 hours Mon-Friday
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Degree in relevant field or significant experience in an EC&I field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office packages
- Good understanding of EC&I engineering principles
- Good working knowledge of full project lifecycle
- Significant demonstrable experience in EC&I project delivery

Role information:

- Oversee EC&I engineering designs from concept to initial and detailed design phases
- Ensure functional and nuclear safety requirements are met
- Ensure designs are adherent to national legislation
- Ensure design delivery meets preset requirements
- See the designs through to final installation and handover
- Produce engineering drawings, calculations, specifications and design and handover documentation

Job title: Mechanical Design engineer
Job Type: Contract
Start date: ASAP depending on clearance
Duration: 12 months
Pay rate : Negotiable depending on experience
Location: Preston
Hours of work: 37 hours per week , Monday - Friday
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- Minimum of a HNC in a relevant Mechanical discipline
- Experience working within the nuclear sector or highly regulated industries
- Worked with different tools such as AutoCAD
- Experience working with design documentation and reviews.
Ideally applicants should also have:
- SC cleared.

Role information:

Mechanical Design Engineer required for design modifications to existing plant.
Provision of mechanical engineering design to specified standards of time and quality. Designated work packages will be completed to appropriate standards of quality and safety whilst meeting programme targets. Packages of work will include the development of designs from concept through development to final production hand-over. This will involve the generation of equipment specifications, tender initiation and assessment, detail design, commissioning documentation and hand-over documentation. Duties will include the reviewing, checking and approving designs and the engineering management of supporting personnel working as part of the design team (e.g. Designers, Draughtsmen). Oversight (quality and scope management) of designs placed with external design contractors will be required

Duration: 12 month.
Pay rate: competitive.

Hours of work: 37hrs Mon-Fri

Need to be based on site fully for the 1st 6 month

Applicants must have experience of the following:
* Degree Qualification or equivalent experience in lieu of this
* Ability to lead design tasks and take accountability and responsibility for delivery of design packages for a range of projects
* Ability to work with minimum supervision and guidance to deliver design packages
* Ability to manage the 'Design' expectations of the project stakeholders throughout the life of the project

Candidates would ideally have:
* Experience of Human Factors in Design
* Experience in Commissioning of Mechanical systems
* APMP Qualification
* Piping and vessel design experience would also be an advantage.
