We need people who share our passion on solving the problems that matter. Here you’ll find work that is challenging and rewarding, and you’ll be supported every step of the way.
You will have the opportunity to work on an exciting and diverse workload, delivering high quality support for private and public-sector clients across the UK including exciting infrastructure and renewable energy projects.
What you’ll be doing
You will be providing consultancy advice on a wide range of technically demanding projects for clients in the property, waste, minerals, renewables and energy sectors. Our work includes desk and site-based air quality, dust, odour impact assessments for planning applications, Environmental Impact Assessments and Environmental Permit applications. You will also be preparing quotes to secure new business.
You will support Directors in implementing the business plan and contribute to marketing activities. You will have leadership skills by helping to train and mentor our graduates and consultants.
Who we’re looking for
You’ll already have solid experience working in air quality at Principal Consultant level or you’ll be an ambitious Senior Consultant ready to step up to the next level. You’ll have a collaborative and consultative approach, be good at developing relationships and be confident and decisive. Ideally, you'll have been educated to degree level or equivalent within a relevant subject (e.g. physics, chemistry, mathematics, environmental science, geography) and be a full Member of the Institute of Air Quality Management.
You’ll be highly knowledgeable across all the main environmental air quality areas: atmospheric dispersion modelling (such as ADMS Roads, ADMS 5 and/or AERMOD), air quality/dust monitoring and always up to date with current methods, legislation, guidance and standards. You’ll have significant experience in assessing the air quality impacts on human health and ecology. We’re also interested in candidates with experience of assessments for carbon capture and storage technologies using amines.
We'll need you to be numerically proficient, IT literate and have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will have substantial experience of analysing data using spreadsheets and GIS mapping tools.
Good financial and project management skills are essential, as are great influencing and communication skills that enable you to build, maintain and consolidate strong working relationships with colleagues, clients and external bodies. You will demonstrate the potential to appear and speak at committees, informal hearings, and examinations in public.
There will be some travel – a full, clean UK driving licence will be required
What’s in it for you
Our employees are rewarded with competitive salaries, opportunities to invest and many other benefits including: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, option to purchase up to 5 extra days per year, company pension scheme, Group Disability Scheme, Share Incentive Scheme, Life Assurance, Cycle to Work Scheme, Health Screening, Employee Assistance Programme, Dental Cover, Gadget Insurance, Professional Memberships and access to BenefitHub offering discounts, cash back offer and rewards.
A personal development plan and a transparent career pathway puts you in the driving seat of your career and you’ll be supported as far as you want to go.

We respect one another and recognise the potential and contribution of everyone. You’ll be joining a diverse community and a company that puts its people first and prioritises their wellbeing.
We understand the need to work flexibly, with agile offices and hybrid working offered as standard, we’re happy to talk about flexible working. This is a workplace that works for you.
