About the Role
Central to the success of this is the finance department, which influences right across the Council. The focus is on the improvement of the services we offer, providing more financial data analysis to decision-makers in those services and supporting non-financial services to become more confident around managing their budgets.

This is a remote working opportunity with occasional in person team meetings, staff can expect to spend the majority of their time working remotely, unless there is a business need to be in the office
The Finance Business Partner will report into the Head of Finance Business Partnering and provide business partnering to the Finance team. Key responsibilities will include;
Providing strategic support to the Finance and Corporate team to aid in the delivery of budget setting and the closure of accounts process.
Working closely with stakeholders the ensure the best use of limited resources whilst empowering budget holders to take ownership of their finances
Ensuring proper financial analytics are used to better inform budget monitoring and longer term financial planning as well as monitoring the accuracy of information input into systems to ensure correct systems outputs
Continually review, update and report on financial risks and opportunities and advise the Head of Finance Business Partnering and CFO on matters that need referral
Contributing to the continuous development of the Integra Financial Management System whilst deputising the Head of Finance Business Partnering as required
