Where does this role sit?
Core Platforms is on a journey to build the bank of the future and simplify our operational processes to help our customers with our Business Process Management, Customer Relationship Management (MS Dynamics) and API Integration technologies. We lead, prioritise, and deliver change across the Group by engaging with the Business areas, understanding their need, and delivering change in an agile way to safely deliver benefit for our Customers and Colleagues.

As a Quality Engineer, you'll be making a real difference, as you'll blend both deep domain and technical expertise within a feature team.

Working with the Business, Development and UK onsite teams to drive solutions.

Highly experienced in creating test frameworks to aid the testing of complex code to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect, based on deep domain and technical expertise

Coaching other members in the team including junior engineer and partner resources

Attending and contributing to Guilds

Supporting wider delivery consideration e.g. risk management, planning & keeping documents current

Skills/ experience we'd need to see

Accomplished Test Automation Engineer helping to develop a robust and future-facing Automation & Frameworks.

Highly experienced in creating test frameworks to aid the testing of complex code to deliver products that are fit for purpose and meet the quality standards that our customers expect, based on deep domain and technical expertise.

Ability to analyse and evaluate the feasibility/relevance of proposals for complex products/services, then develop and amend them as necessary (with guidance from senior colleagues). You might also understand how to supervise activities performed by a product development/specialist team.

Be highly competent in one of the following languages: Javascript, Typescript or equivalent.

Basic understanding of PEGA Architecture and supporting infrastructure

Clear Communication - both written and verbal, familiar with communicating with business partners.

Great teammate with good collaboration skills, with a willingness to improve your knowledge and experience.

Growth Mindset - keen desire to lean and develop further
We'd be delighted if you also have:

Knowledge of PEGA applications frameworks like Customer Service Framework, CLM (Customer Lifecycle Manager)

Have a deep understanding of Frameworks and at least one automation framework, such as Playwright (preferred), Cypress, Selenium.

Containerisation experience e.g docker.
-
CI/CD experience e.g Jenkins.

Knowledge on other programming languages.

Agile experience

Experience of JIRA/Confluence
-
Comfortable participating in workshops
