HR GO are proud to be working with Ashford Borough Council in the search for Port Health Administrator.
Providing administrative support to the Port Health team focusing on the setting up of accounts to enable customers to pay for documentary checks for consignments entering the UK through the Ashford Border Control Post.
This role is temporary cover for approx 3 weeks, up until the end of April 2024.
Hours:
Mon - Fri, 0900 - 1700.
Duties:
- General administrative support commensurate with grade to the Port Health Team.
- Contacting customers and supporting and signposting them to the appropriate websites to complete the set up process on the internal system.
- To use IT systems to manage enquiries, provide information and support.
- To undertake any additional duties of a similar level of responsibility as may be required from time to time.
- To assist agents of importers with advice on how to pay for documentary checks and were to find the appropriate charges.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Ability to make decisions under pressure - E
- Ability to adapt approach to meet differing and diverse customer needs - E
- Ability to deal with complex enquiries within tight time constraints - E
- Proven experience in a Customer service role - E
- NVQ level 3 Customer Services - D
- Second language skills would be advantageous - D
- Basic understanding of Council Services - D
