Job Summary
This position is a leader within Supply Chain Solutions responsible for Processes, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement throughout the Supply Chain. These responsibilities catalyze improvement initiatives across Supply Chain for all Fresenius Kabi Region North America Distribution Centers (DC).
This position will optimize the distribution network and inventory flow to and from plants and US customers. The position will develop project timelines and budgets and perform cost/benefit analysis to drive decisions. This position will partner with IT, Operations, vendors, and any other stakeholder parties to identify gaps and simplify processes; develop initiatives to close those gaps and help deliver enhancements; prioritize enhancements based on business needs; continually maintain an understanding of current processes.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Manage continuous improvement projects that impact all supply chain functions. Must be able to provide project risk assessment, develop and manage multi-project timelines, define deliverables, and effectively utilize shared resources. Lead cross-functional and cross-departmental projects with high complexity and cross-system impacts. Can conceptualize, document, and communicate solutions to meet business objectives across the supply chain.
- Engineering: Support the DC labor management program, including engineered labor standards, incentive programs, and program policies. Ensure alignment between all DC policies, procedures, key performance indicators, and ongoing improvement projects. Deliver value through improvement in DC design & layout. Research and evaluate the use of new technologies.
- Facility/Equipment Management: Lead & drive facility/equipment standardization and process improvement across the distribution. Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain business processes to effectively work with operations to understand requirements that will drive efficiencies in the business with an understanding of the details while maintaining a holistic approach. Can identify process/material handling/system issues and opportunities where implementing best practices will ensure that department and company business goals are met, ensuring needed financial results.
- Team Development: Manage work assignments for the team and facilitate engagement and development opportunities.
- Continuous Improvement: Responsible for implementation of strategic programs across all distribution centers that utilize the tools of Lean Six Sigma and other continuous improvement methodologies to manage risk, set direction, and lead the way to breakthrough improvements in process
- Change Management: Leads and collaborates to deliver effective management of change. Coordinate effective change management by leveraging common processes, communication, executive support, and associate involvement.
- Documentation: Leads, trains, and educates to ensure documentation, training materials, and actual training for any process changes follow GxP requirements.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or technical equivalent
- 5 years of experience in relevant and related positions in Supply Chain.
- 1 year of management experience
- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management are highly preferred.
- Microsoft Suite of products including MS Project and MS Visio, AutoCAD
- Ability and willingness to travel required (20-25%)
