Requirements for Project Quantity Surveyor

It is essential that you hold a BSc, NVQ4 or MSc qualification along with a relevant CSCS card. You will be an excellent communicator and have the ability to motivate and influence with ease. In addition, you will be a natural problem solver with exceptional commercial acumen and confident decision maker. It is essential that you have a solid understanding of construction techniques and processes, along with an excellent understanding of various forms of Method of Measurement and standard engineering contracts as well as having the appreciation and willingness to adopt Value engineering principles. About the role of Estimator

As the Estimator, you'll be a part of the Civil Engineering Pre-construction team, and report to the Managing Estimator. Working on Primarily Highways and structures projects across the North of England on various multi-Million £ projects.

Project value range c.£500,000 - £30mill.

Responsibilities for Estimator

• Analyse and interpret information including appraisal of scheme requirements in terms of construction methods, programme and
• Compile a comprehensive net cost estimate for the works, including preliminary
• Prepare and present net cost estimate for internal
• Timely submission of tender, ensuring that the Clients requirements are met.
• Give others an overview of the scheme, highlighting any job specific risks/benefits.

Offer for Estimator

• £60,000 - £65,000 p/a
• £6450 car allowance
• Hybrid working 2 days per week

Are you an experienced Site Manager within Social Housing, looking for your next challenge with a busy Contractor with a healthy pipeline of work?

We are working with a well-established Social Housing Contractor who are looking to add an experienced Site Manager to their team. The company have a great reputation and staff retention rates and focus on customer care and quality of work.

They have several schemes in the Manchester area, particularly Kitchen and Bathroom replacement schemes to tenanted properties and are looking for a Site Manager to run these schemes.

Experience of managing Social Housing refurbishment contracts is essential - you will need to have experience of managing schemes within tenanted properties and have great customer service skills, with an emphasis on quality & health & safety.

Your typical day to day duties may include:

• Managing a site team including Tradesman, Subcontractors and Tenant Liaison Officer, ensuring works are being carried out to programme and within budget
• Monitoring health and safety on site
• Attending progress meetings, client meetings
• Liaising with tenants and resolving any issues that may arise
