Our well-established, family-owned business, with over 60 years of experience in the industry, is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Qualified Flooring Installer. We are experiencing rapid growth and require more installers to keep up with the increasing demand for our high-quality services.
The Qualified Flooring Installer is responsible for the professional installation of various types of flooring in residential and commercial settings. This role requires a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and customer service skills to ensure that all installations meet the company's quality standards and customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
Measure and cut flooring materials to fit rooms, hallways, and other areas precisely.
Install various types of flooring, including:
Vinyl planks and sheet vinyl
Laminate and engineered timber
Carpet and carpet tiles
Move furniture and remove old flooring as needed to prepare surfaces for new installations.
Clean and prepare work areas to ensure a tidy and safe environment.
Floor preparation including, pull-up old underlay, smooth edge & resilient flooring, use of self levelling and smoothing compounds, concrete grinding, moisture barrier and waterproofing.
Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and preferences, providing professional advice and solutions.
Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and customer satisfaction.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to safety guidelines and regulations.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
Keep accurate records of work completed, including time, materials used, and customer feedback.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a flooring installer, minimum of 3 years.
Proficiency in using floor installation tools and equipment.
Strong understanding of various flooring types and installation techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

Work Environment:
Work is performed in residential and commercial settings, which may include occupied and unoccupied spaces.
The role may require lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
May involve exposure to dust, adhesives, and other materials associated with floor installation.
