TITLE: Cleaning Manager

ACCOUNTABLE TO: Deputy Head of Site Services Manager, Site Services

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Cleaning Services

Adjust work schedules to reflect the service changes, and compile and update work schedules on an ongoing basis. Develop staff rotas to ensure effective service delivery.

· Ensure that absence reporting procedures are adhered to, highlighting absence trends and taking appropriate corrective action. Conduct progress reviews for staff on long term sick leave.

· Responsible for the day to day management of Domestic Services in area of responsibility, using appropriate methods, systems, equipment and materials to ensure standards are met, and supporting clinical colleagues to minimise the risk of cross infection.

· Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources within budget, developing and implementing systems to monitor and control resources.

· Ensure quality control systems are implemented, and regularly participate in the monitoring, to ensure the provision of effective services to all users

· To be involved in problem solving and the handling of conflicts

· To implement policies to meet legal, statutory, mandatory requirements concerning the management of COSHH, health and safety, control of infection and all other relevant current and future legislation affecting services within the remit of this post

· To participate in the recruitment, retention of staff and to continually review the existing

· practices to maintain value for money and the agreed performance.

. To deliver an end to end first class service for all services on the dedicated contract. Ensuring all KPI’s are met, adhering to national cleaning standards, food standards and maintaining services within the budget.

· Ensure monitoring systems are in place to demonstrate the performance standards of Domestic Services to ensure that the service requirements and standards are being achieved and to provide the necessary level of assurance to the Division.

· Makes recommendations to improve the efficiency of set routines and work schedules to promote the improvement of standards & services.

· Excellent leadership skills to operational manage and lead the cleaning services team as well as providing assurance that there is sufficient and appropriate allocation of resource in line with the required cover to deliver the agreed service.

· Works closely with various client facing roles and other stakeholders to execute their role effectively. Creates a network of stakeholders and collaborates on a regular basis to achieve their goals.

· Proactively works independently or collectively to develop the team on fulfilling their KPI's and continually updates/improves the requirements needed to maintain a high level of performance on site.

· To ensure timely management of direct line reports for all HR issues including recruitment, selection, induction, appraisal, annual leave management, sickness management and disciplinary issues.

· Sets objectives and goals for the team and what the next steps/ priorities are to meet those goals.

· To ensure service provision is met through effective management of rosters and supplies.

· To ensure a smooth & effective running of all domestic services ; to include full COSHH compliance, BICSc compliance, maintain full KPI compliance and ensuring all areas are fully compliant with the latest national cleaning standards.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Manager to join our dynamic team within medicine.

If you have experience in people management, have a passion for leading and motivating teams effectively and are dedicated and enthusiastic in providing and improving excellent patient care, then this role could be for you.

The post holder will manage the administration offices and the central administrative function(s) and provide a senior point of contact to A&C staff, enabling patients to receive treatment in accordance with the NHS Constitution and the Health and Social Care Bill 2011. The post holder will work closely with the clinical and nursing leads to ensure a high standard of patient care is delivered within clinical directorates in line with the Trust policy and standard operating procedures.

The post holder, working closely with the Service Manager, will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of patient care within their directorate. The post-holder will be expected to identify and implement initiatives to improve services, with delegated responsibility from the Service Manager, and lead designated projects to ensure key performance targets (financial, operational and clinical) are met.

We offer an extensive range of services,including cancer, pathology, surgery, and gynaecology to 500,000 people in south west London and north east Surrey. We operate two busy general hospitals, Epsom Hospital and St Helier Hospital, and run services from other locations, including Sutton Hospital.

St Helier Hospital is home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children, while Epsom Hospital is home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC). Both Epsom and St Helier hospitals have Accident and Emergency departments (A&E) and Maternity services (Obstetrics).

The post holder is responsible for the continuing management of the twilight patients and/or co-owners within their clinical setting, without supervision. This includes the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programs of care, the setting and

As a B6 Senior Staff Nurse in the Twilight Team, your primary responsibilities will include providing high-quality, skilled nursing care to patients, assessing both their immediate and long-term needs, and supporting their families and carers. Your role will involve leading the team, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and maintaining professional and clinical standards. Below is a detailed outline of your main duties:

Patient Care
