STRUCTURAL / CIVIL DRAFTSPERSON
Demlakian is a leading, multi-disciplinary engineering firm which specialises in the design and delivery of intelligent engineering, strata and remedial solutions. We work with local and international clients in the commercial, industrial, institutional, civic and residential sectors.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Structural/Civil Draftsperson to join our team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, collaborate with industry experts, and develop your skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities:
• Produce structural/civil drawings using AutoCAD
• preparing sketches, charts, tabulations, plans and designs for civil engineering works such as drainage, water supply, sewerage
reticulation systems, roads, airports, dams, bridges and other structures.
• Liaise with project managers and engineers to ensure that drawings are produced in accordance with project requirements and company
standards
• interpreting work assignment instructions and applying appropriate procedures
• Support project managers in coordinating project timelines and communication with clients and other consultants.
• Contribute to the review and revision of designs based on project feedback and requirements.
Successful applicants will have to demonstrate:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in civil/structural drafting
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Experience with Revit is advantageous
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
