Vice President, Marketing Communications Summary:
The Vice President of Marketing Communications is a key member of the Marketing Leadership team and the broader Delinea Executive Team, collaborating regularly with our Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams. This role provides an exciting opportunity to influence and impact Delinea’s brand positively. You will lead a team of global experts and agencies focused on Public Relations, Analyst Relations, Corporate Messaging, Creative, Design and Communications. The ideal candidate for this role thrives in a dynamic, innovative environment and brings experience in various facets of Marketing Communications. This position may require up to 20% travel. The candidate will be located remotely and based in the US or EMEA. This position reports to the CMO.
What You’ll Do:
Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to advance Delinea's brand identity, inclusive of public relations, analyst relations, internal communication, creative and design.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build key messaging & brand elements that resonate with prospects, customers, and employees.
Develop global brand awareness campaigns, including participation in major industry events.
Engage industry analysts across multiple product areas with a focus on highlighting Delinea's innovation and why we are special.
Create a public relations strategy to amplify meaningful relationships with the media, the analysts, and key influencers. Serve as a key spokesperson for media and analyst interactions that help promote and/or impact the organization.
Work with leadership team and staff to recognize internal and external communications opportunities and solutions and define and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
In collaboration with the VP of People oversee internal communications, including developing strategies to improve employee communication flow.
Build and lead a high performing team of 10+ global employees including communicating performance goals, development goals, and helping to establish priorities.
What You’ll Bring:
10+ years of experience in Marketing Leadership and brand management.
10+ years of Technology experience, Cybersecurity is a plus.
Ability to build a function and program from the ground up.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and an ability to work across the organization at all levels.
Demonstrated skill and comfort in proactively building relationships with top-tier reporters and editors, and in successfully positioning subject matter with the media to achieve high-impact placements.
Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills.
Proven ability to plan and implement multi-faceted, complex communications and marketing strategies suitable for wide audiences.
Experience measuring the ROI of communications activities.
Experience shaping content and storytelling to be used in marketing programs and events.
Excellent written and oral communication skills and comfortable writing for and speaking to a wide array of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
