This role supports to the Head of Safeguarding Adults and Children.

The role entails working across the local health and social care economies to prevent harm, fostering and facilitating multi-professional interagency working in respect of Safeguarding Children.

Ensuring statutory responsibilities of the Children Act (1989& 2004) are met. These obligations are fulfilled by providing clinical guidance across the field of safeguarding and protecting children.

Undertake and contribute in Child Safeguarding Practice Review Domestic Abuse Related Death Review (DARDR), Multi Agency Reviews negotiating outcomes with the production of Individual Management Reviews, disseminating trends, research and promoting clinical quality and outcomes, actions and recommendations.

To undertake / join investigations where the issue spans several statutory agencies, which will require empathy and negotiating skills to obtain the relevant information.

This is a training role within the RISE Specialist Mental Health Services for Children and Young people. The post-holder will be enrolled in a graduate certificate or postgraduate certificate training delivering the national curriculum for Mental Health and Wellbeing Practitioners. The post-holder will attend all elements of the programme of study and progress successfully through assessments of competence and attainment. In the remaining part of the week they will work as a trainee in the service, under close supervision and regular course assessment of practice competence.

They will work within the limits of their experience and assessed competence for their stage of training:

· To use theory informed /psychologically informed interventions, aligned to cognitive-behavioural principles, based on the best evidence available, that address problems often experienced.

· To deliver low intensity cognitive behavioural approaches with children and adolescents with mild to moderate anxiety or depression.

· Parents of children experiencing anxiety disorders and/or behavioural difficulties.

· Preventative work within communities, supporting mental health promotion in community settings though psychoeducation, training, group work and supporting CYP/parent participation.

· Participate in the championing of ROMs within services under clinical supervision.

This is a training role within the Community Eating Disorder Service. This role is a 2-year fixed term appointment leading to a permanent Psychological Therapist post at the end of this period if the postgraduate diploma programme is completed successfully.

The post-holder will work within the service providing formal psychological interventions whilst undertaking a programme of training for this role. This intensive training post will equip the post–holder to provide cognitive behavioural therapy for eating disorders (CBT-E) to clients with a diagnosis of an eating disorder and related complexities for which CBT-E is demonstrated to be clinically effective. The post- holder will work in the service for 4 days of the week using the newly developed skills whilst attending the training programme for the fifth day.

Working within an established team, you’ll be managing a caseload of clients who have complex mental health problems across all diagnostic presentations and delivering a range of interventions. You will have the opportunity to gradually build your skills and confidence as part of a multi-disciplinary team, using evidence-based approaches.. You’ll be communicating with a wide variety of clients; professionals; partners and agencies.

As part of working in our team you will be working with some individuals who can present as chaotic & emotionally dysregulated. This can be a challenging patient group; however, this team has a positive attitude & non-judgemental approach toward this patient group, understanding what has brought them to their current presentation, recognising individual strengths and establishing clear, focussed, professional relationships that identify clear boundaries and expectations for both the patient and clinician. This empowers both patient and clinician to see what can be achieved through clear collaborative care planning. Those patients with a psychotic presentation may be managed through shared care within the team. This allows the sharing of responsibility, skills and knowledge. This offers the opportunity for staff to develop their role whilst being supported and guided by more experienced clinicians

Time is spent investing in your development and there are lots of opportunities to shadow colleagues on duty, during assessments and on visits when you first join us. This will allow you to confidently undertake the role of case management eventually leading to managing a full caseload, being part of a duty team and undertaking trusted assessments. The nature of the team means that you bring your knowledge, experience, enthusiasm and empathy and are exposed to the knowledge and skills of other colleagues within the team which promotes growth and development within your own practice at an accelerated rate. We are a team that recognises the work we do can be difficult at times and we have a strong supportive approach- both in professional matters and passing on good practice, learning and sharing risk but also when it impacts on us personally. We recognise the value in Supervision, and this is why we ensure we offer a range, including CBT supervision, Peer Supervision, Caseload Supervision & Development Supervision (MES). They are well spaced, and this is something the team feel adds to the varying levels of support and shared responsibility.

We are looking for staff with some experience of assessing and working with people with complex and significant mental health problems or who wish to further develop such skills. We see this as an ideal opportunity to develop more specialist skills. It is important you have good communication skills and can work on your own initiative as well as collaboratively with colleagues. This is a newly created role for a senior clinical psychologist to join a well established Children and Young People's Eating Disorder service. The role will require oversight of psychology across the whole of the team (in conjunction with the consultant clinical psychologist/Clinical Lead, and the other psychologists. In addition, there will be a primary focus on the Arfid pathway which requires development along with colleagues.

To provide high quality specialist clinical psychological services to service users. The post holder will provide specialist psychological assessment and therapy, offering advice and consultation on service user’s psychological care to colleagues from other disciplines, to patients’ families and carers. To support the psychological assessment and therapy provided by other clinicians involved with these services, working autonomously within professional guidelines, exercising full clinical responsibility, and implementing changes where necessary.



To work co-operatively with multidisciplinary colleagues to achieve service goals. To contribute to service development.



The post holder will be expected to provide clinical supervision to other psychological services staff which may include some or all of the following: qualified psychologists, trainee and assistant psychologists, child psychotherapists and art therapists or other psychological services staff.



The post holder is expected to participate in service development and governance of psychological services practice within Integrated Children’s Services.

Registered Professional - Band 6 (Coventry)37.5 hours per week- we will consider part time hours for Caludon Centre, Coventry

We have exciting opportunities for Registered Professionals who have 12 months + experience within Acute or Community setting of supporting Age Independent Adults with mental illness. The Urgent Care Access hub and Home Treatment Team in Coventry is an Age independent service, One team with two functions, We operate a 24 hours service and the shift patterns are 11.5 hours. This fast paced, dynamic environment requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to make decisions under pressure and provide high quality care to people with mental health illnesses and social inequalities in their own homes. You will also be expected to Triage Urgent referrals which include Safeguarding and make decisions about care and treatment in a responsive manner, signposting to 3rdsector services and referring into secondary care services if needed. Giving current NICE guideline advice around self-help and treatment options via telephone triage. You will be supported by a senior leadership team of experienced nurses and an MDT of colleagues who are passionate about treating patients in their own homes in order to avoid hospital admission. We are based within the Caludon Centre and cover the city of Coventry. Car driver preferred but not essential.

The post holder will be required to work within a multi-disciplinary Age Independent 24/7 Mental Health Access Hub & Home Treatment Team. The MHAH & HTT provide a service to people experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis (functional or organic) who require urgent assessment to determine the required interventions using the least restrictive environment to facilitate recovery.
