Calling all Ecologists! We are recruiting to fill a range of ecologist positions
With a Head Office based just outside of the ancient town of Maldon, Essex and a new office opening shortly in Suffolk, Open Spaces is an expanding, multi-disciplinary consultancy practice (landscape architects, tree and ecology consultants), offering a range of opportunities for the right people. Our work encompasses a wide range of project types from single residential developments to multi-phase housing, commercial and educational projects.
We are seeking self-motivated, enthusiastic people to undertake a range of both field surveying and desk-based analysis and report writing, including PEAs, BNG baseline assessments (UK Habs) and calculating pre and post BNG (DEFRA Metrics), protected species surveys, mitigation design and ECoW services. At present, we have multiple opportunities for both assistant level and experienced ecologists to join our busy ecology department.
We will offer a competitive salary dependent on level and experience, flexible working to ensure work-life balance due to some unsociable hours and a TOIL policy due to seasonal survey requirements, annual leave increasing with service, bonus scheme, paid for CIEEM membership, training and equipment budget, contributory pension.
We also welcome enquiries from self-employed/freelance ecologists who wish to work on an external consultant basis.
All positions can be on a full or part-time basis.
