As a Senior International Trade Specialist, you will perform the following duties:
- Serve as a tariff and Section 232 Exclusion expert; in the formulation and implementation of U.S. trade, economic and foreign policy.
- Guide and direct collaboration efforts with U.S. and foreign embassies, other bureaus and USG agencies, and U.S. industry in order to oversee and help shape U.S. trade, economic and foreign policy.
- Negotiate with external and internal stakeholders to further International Trade Policy and Section 232 Compliance efforts; and create advanced written communications and messaging regarding foreign trade problems of jurisdiction and related trade policy issues.
- Analyze the 232 complaints to determine the type of trade issue, develop a successful analysis and action plan, and track efforts to develop and implement the action plan to resolve the issue.
- Lead efforts to coordinate with U.S. and foreign government agencies and the business community to develop and implement U.S. Trade policies, strategies, or programs.
