Job Purpose
Deliver and ensure compliance of all investment activities to meet the Cadent business plan targets across the East Midlands Network.
What you’ll get to work on
- Initiation to closure project management of large CAPEX investment projects in East Midlands implementing the Delivery Assurance Framework
- Manage workload and budget forecasting for assigned projects
- Developing business cases to allow projects to be raised and initiated
- Closing out of Projects in line with Cadent’s policies & procedures working closely with the IPO Team & Portfolio Specialists to capture all project costs correctly and in a timely manner
- Tracking and reporting of project spend against delivery forecast
- Liaising with key stakeholders Network Control, IPO, Strategic Partners, Capital Delivery, and subcontractors to ensure that the competent project resources are deployed
- Monitoring CDM/SCCF compliance/assurance of all works
- Ensuring that all projects are delivered safely, on time and to appropriate levels of performance
- Conducting site visits to ensure that setting to work has taken place effectively, with the control documentation (NRO, PTW etc) briefed effectively, roles and responsibilities are clearly understood and followed/implemented
- Ensuring compliance with Safe Control of Operations (SCO), management and control of new works, modifications and repair policies (e.g., G17 process) for project work scope
- Ensuring adequate RAMS are in place for the project work scope
- Ensuring compliance of contract and sub-contract provisions
- Providing technical support to the Area Managers as operational requirements emerge
- Participating in the Network Operational Standby rota
Who are we looking for
- HNC/SNVQ/NVQ or equivalent operational experience in network engineering techniques supported by relevant training or qualification
- IOSH
- SCO AE & CP Practical Experience
- Experience delivering engineering projects preferable within the gas industry
- Sound understanding of Contract management
- Comprehensive knowledge of and understanding of gas plant and process systems
- Broad knowledge of Cadent Core Processes
- Understanding of risk management principles and tools and of HSE regulations relevant to role
- Understanding of Process Safety Principals
- Good communication skills both verbal & written
