Role Purpose

Our Kitchen Teams are key to running a successful brewpub. You are passionate about great food, uncompromising in your standards, with a great eye for detail.

Excellent communication skills are key within this role as is developing rapport with the wider team, understanding the shared goals and working collaboratively to achieve them.

As part of our kitchen management team, you’ll have the drive and determination to deliver an excellent service, every single day. You will work alongside the Head Chef in managing the food stock, ensuring safe working practices and that your Brewpub kitchen adheres to all food safety regulations. You’ll take a front foot in the preparation and cooking of our menu, ensuring it leaves the kitchen to perfect specification for our guests and will be given creative opportunities to develop dishes for our menu.

Our Assistant Managers are a hugely important part of the leadership structure in our Brewpubs and with our reputation of promoting internally, there are clear lines of progression for those who wish to develop to General Manager. You will be passionate about great food, drinks (particularly craft beer) and service, have a keen eye for detail, and have an understanding of how to encourage and coach to get the best out of your team. We value your work/life balance, therefore all of our Assistant Managers are contracted to work 40 hours per week.

You will be the driver of the B&K Way, our own operational standards. You will champion product knowledge and training across both our food and beverage offer and above all else be ready to learn and develop yourself along with the support of our senior team.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be leading shifts, this will include opening & closing the Brewpub, helping with recruitment, training & coaching of the team, managing health & safety of the Brewpub and have a keen eye for growing sales!

Why Brewhouse & Kitchen?

Founded in 2013, B&K is a blend of Great British Pubs with US-inspired hospitality and beer culture. We have open fires, cask ales and Sunday Roasts – but we also have quirky industrial décor, an eclectic range of guest beers and home-style BBQ dishes.
