Care Assistant - Adult Residential
Description
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at an adult residential facility. As a Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing essential support and care to adults who require assistance with their daily activities and personal care.
In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing the quality of life for residents by promoting their independence and well-being. Your responsibilities will include assisting with personal care, medication administration, meal preparation, and participating in recreational activities. You will also provide emotional support to residents and ensure that their living environment is clean and safe.
The ideal candidate for this position will have strong interpersonal skills and a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the lives of the individuals they support. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required, as we provide comprehensive training for all our Care Assistants.

Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
Administer medications in accordance with prescribed instructions
Prepare and serve meals and snacks to residents, taking into consideration dietary restrictions and preferences
Participate in planning and organizing recreational activities for residents
Provide emotional support to residents and assist with social interactions
Ensure a clean and safe living environment for residents, including performing light housekeeping duties
Document resident observations and activities accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a care giving role preferred
Strong empathy and understanding of the needs of vulnerable adults
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a team
Flexibility in working hours, as some evening and weekend shifts may be required
Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
CPR and First Aid certification a plus
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Shift Work:
Start Time: 08:00; 15:00
End Time: 14:00; 22:00
Pay Per Hour: £11.44
Location: Nottingham, Nottinghamshire
