Overview:

As a Mgr,Analytics Architect, you will spearhead our efforts to transform and elevate our data visualization and reporting capabilities. Your expertise in Power BI, coupled with your experience in report migration, will be instrumental in guiding our organization through the transition from various platforms to Power BI. You will lead a team dedicated to creating insightful, dynamic reports and dashboards that empower decision-makers with real-time data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Lead the migration of reports from other BI tools (such as Tableau, Qlik, Excel, etc.) to Power BI, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Establish and enforce best practices for Power BI report development, including data modeling, data blending, and visualizations.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Power BI team, including training and mentorship.
• Collaborate with IT and data management teams to ensure seamless data integration and compliance with data governance standards.
• Stay abreast of the latest Power BI features and updates, evaluating and implementing them to enhance our reporting capabilities.
• Manage the Power BI service, including workspace administration, report publishing, and user access management.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports to ensure fast load times and a smooth user experience.
• Document all report migration processes and develop guidelines for future migrations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in data analysis and report development, with at least 5 years focused on Power BI.
• Proven experience in migrating reports from other BI platforms to Power BI, including knowledge of different migration tools and techniques.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, SQL, and DAX.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a team of analysts or developers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Experience with data governance and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with Power BI administration and workspace management.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Certification in Power BI or other relevant BI tools.
• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and visualization.

As a Group Manager, Data Engineering, you use modern data engineering techniques and Advanced Analytics methods to give your clients the information they need. You collect, aggregate, store and reconcile data from multiple sources, helping to design and build data pipelines, streams, reporting tools, data generators and a whole range of tools to provide information and insight. You know how to read the patterns and trends that influence business outcomes.

Day to day you will:

• Developing and implementing an overall data strategy that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes blue printing of data ecosystem , data model patterns, database development standards, data analytics systems.

Your technical and non-technical skills include:

• Minimum 10 years experience in similar capacity, with 4+ years of experience working with large complex enterprises, architecting & implementing large-scale data projects through Azure Data services
• Enterprise-scale technical experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, data migrations, and technology management
• Demonstrated experience in turning business use cases and requirements into technical solutions.
• Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flow.
• Ability to solve business problems using one or more Azure Data and Analytics services in combination with building data pipelines, data streams, and system integration.
• Expert knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW, Azure SQL, and Data Bricks is required.
• Knowledge of Azure IoT, Azure HDInsight + Spark, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Stream Analytics & Python is a plus.
• End-to-end data migration from legacy data platform to cloud data services experience is plus
• Experience in Big Data management & processing using tools such as Hadoop, Spark
• Experience in Data Transformation using ETL/ELT tools such as AWS Glue, Factory, Talend, EAI
• Experience in database and data warehousing with SQL, NoSQL & RDBMS such as MS SQL, AWS DynamoDB, etc.
• Knowledge of Lambda and Kappa architecture patterns.
