• Serves as management consultant on aircraft production process, equipment, tooling and their subsystem design, operations, modification, and replacement.
• Accomplishes research and investigations to determine appropriate Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) techniques for any aircraft structure, engine and their subcomponents.
• Works with organizational managers, budget personnel, and engineering authorities to develop and gain approval for proposed NDI equipment and tooling programs/projects.

• Develops business case for new depot equipment, facility systems, and utilities; and for upgrade, repair, and maintenance requirements of each.

• Creates design presentations and supports preliminary and critical design reviews with customers.

• Operates boom cranes where maneuverability is restricted and accuracy is critical. Uses and maintains tools and equipment.
• Applies skilled techniques in moving loads near obstructions.
• Operates one or more types of heavy equipment to excavate, backfill, grade, or level earth to rough specifications on such projects as breaking new ground for trails, roads, airfields, or other construction sites.

5. On new and proposed weapon system repair assignment, establish and identifies the common, Air Ground Equipment (AGE) and maintenance Ground Equipment (MGE) requirements.
6. Provide technical guidance and coordination on unusual technical problems (for equipment) encountered during the production cycle.
7. Value Engineering Techniques will be used to: Examine high volume/high value components for design changes, depot repair procedures, substitution of equipment, etc.; to investigate processes and repair procedures for improvement; to design adequate tooling for depot operations not covered by technical data and provides adequate fixtures and equipment for direct production support.
8. Support the Production Supervisors in production meetings and assist in identifying significant issues.
9. Comply with and assist in implementing Command standard business practices, policies & procedures.
