Role Overview
The Process Engineer is tasked with supporting my client's business units by identifying and implementing process improvements, establishing preventative maintenance plans, spearheading automation efforts, managing capital projects, and providing expert engineering guidance across multiple sites across Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Execution

Offer engineering assistance to support production and maintenance processes, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
Contribute to the creation and submission of Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) for major projects, including design, contractor quotes, and business case preparation.
Formulate a detailed five-year capital investment plan to reduce manual handling and improve efficiency via enhanced facility layout and automation.
Design preventative maintenance schedules in collaboration with Business and National Operations Managers.
Oversee large-scale capital projects and manage tank inspection programs at each facility.

Process Optimization

Execute process enhancements to maximize equipment efficiency, boost productivity, and minimize manual handling.
Lead projects focused on improving plant systems, such as mist elimination and machinery guarding.
Analyze downtime reports to pinpoint and recommend strategies to minimize outages and enhance up time.
Develop piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) for each site.
Provide specialized engineering expertise to business managers, liaising with external agencies and regulatory bodies.

Technical Support

Deliver specialized engineering support as needed across the business.
Manage research and development (R&D) initiatives, including testing and documenting outcomes .

Contract Oversight

Negotiate contracts with external parties and manage the completion of these agreements.
Draft Technical Specifications and define Scope of Work for both capital and maintenance projects .

Health, Safety, and Environmental Coordination

Contribute to the business's health, safety, and operational initiatives by actively participating in relevant programs at each site.

Skills & Qualifications

Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience : 5+ years in mechanical/process engineering, preferably within a multi-site organization.
Skills :

Strong budgeting and project management skills.
Deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
Advanced report writing and data analysis capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Advanced negotiation abilities.
Proven ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
High proficiency in computer software, particularly MS Office Suite.

Role Objective
To service existing equipment, troubleshooting and repair or recovering from failures and
upgrade the equipment when necessary. Field Service Engineer to follow up and assist on the Projects Start-up and Commissioning, focusing on mechanical and electrical stuff and supporting all kinds of automation activities and following the indications established by the Technical Office and/or Project Manager, and providing the maximum added value in the performance of the tasks.
Key Duties:

Electrical schematics interpretation
Millwrighting and mechanical tasks such as machine positioning, mounting and start up.

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum 2+ years in a similar role in manufacturing/warehousing/logistics within a fast-moving environment.
Tertiary education in Engineering: Automation, Electronics or Industrial
Mechanical designs, and Mechanical skills and abilities.
Electrical and pneumatic schematics, and Electrical skills and abilities
Basic PLC programming in ladder and valuable in structured language.

$100K - $110K + 11.5% Super + up to $3000 in relocation expense (one time)

Role Objective
To apply the design and do the implementation and start-up of the assigned projects and its automation related tasks, always according to the Company guidelines and following
the indications established by the Project Manager. Responsible for machinery installation, calibration and full packing and palletizing projects start-up and delivery. .
The site will be assessed in terms of responsibility and contribution within the company.
Key Duties:

All related automation tasks: PLC programming ladder and structured text of main PLCs on the market: Rockwell, Siemens and B&R.
All relate automation tasks: communication bus, VFD's programming, network managed switches, etc.
Upstream and downstream interlocks set-up to third party equipment
Integration of automation peripherals: labelers, checkweighers, barcode readers, vision cameras,
Electrical schematics interpretation and supervision of electrical tasks
Supervision and coordination activities of contractors to own cooperative Project manager and customer's supervisors/managers.
Following the Project timings and reporting to Project Managers
Start-up of Projects from very beginning in company's headquarters floor before final start-up and commissioning at customers' floor.
Documentation of equipment and Projects
Training to final operators and supervisors about the equipment.
Service existing own equipment on the field: identify errors/failures and determine the root cause of them and determine actions to prevent them from getting repeated.

Experience and Qualifications:

Minimum 3+ years in a similar role in manufacturing/warehousing/logistics within a fast-moving environment.
Tertiary education in Engineering: Automation, Electronics or Industrial
Extensive experience in pneumatics, hydraulics, PLCs.
PLC programming in structured text language and ladder language.
Experience with C++ programming is preferred.
Experience with Java Script and Servo Motors is preferred.
Experience in robotics and/or automation is mandatory.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of industrial project commissioning.
Excellent ability to build productive professional relationships.
