Are you an experienced culinary professional looking to take the next step in your career? We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Kitchen Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, while delivering exceptional dishes that keep our customers coming back for more.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and train kitchen staff on food preparation, safety, and hygiene practices.
2. Ensure all dishes are prepared according to established recipes and standards.
3. Manage kitchen inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling food costs to meet budgetary goals.
4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including cleanliness and food storage practices.
5. Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and timely dish delivery.
6. Innovate new menu items and improve existing recipes to enhance the restaurant's offerings.
7. Monitor portion control and waste management to maintain cost efficiency.
8. Report on kitchen performance and work with upper management to implement improvements.
9. Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of kitchen equipment and utensils.
10. Develop and implement training programs for new kitchen staff.
11. Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours.
12. Manage kitchen budgets, including labor, food, and supply costs.
13. Conduct regular food safety audits to ensure compliance with health regulations.
14. Foster a positive and productive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration.
15. Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate innovative techniques and ingredients into the menu.
16. Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally to ensure customer satisfaction.
17. Work with suppliers to source high-quality ingredients and negotiate pricing.
18. Monitor and evaluate the performance of kitchen staff, providing constructive feedback and support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager or similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Creative mindset with a passion for food and culinary innovation.
