ABA Insurance Brokers is a renowned broking firm offering a comprehensive range of insurance solutions and consulting services to a large portfolio of personal and corporate clients across many business industries and sectors. We are now seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Broking/Business Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying, acquiring, and managing relationships with new and existing clients, driving revenue growth for the company.
Job Description
- To have a solid knowledge of all classes of general insurance business, in particular Employee Benefits and Medical Insurance products and propose suitable solutions to clients.
- To perform the full spectrum of insurance broking tasks independently in servicing new and renewal business.
- To prepare documentation required for insurance placement including quotation slips, placement/closing slips, schedules and calculations, cover notes, endorsements and ensuring that the details in the policy documents are as per agreed terms.
Renewal Business:
- To generate and send out monthly renewals policies to ensure timely renewal of expiring policies.
- To review current coverage and advise clients on appropriate coverage, conducting comparisons of other insurers’ quotations and negotiating on premium, terms and conditions.
New Business:
- To drive client acquisition to pursue new opportunities to expand client base.
- To design customised insurance plans that align with client’s objectives and budget.
- To negotiate premiums and terms & conditions to secure the best premium for clients.
- To prepare presentation slides to EB clients on their Policy Schedule and Helpline FAQs.
Others:
- To establish and maintain professional relationships with insurers and clients to ensure retention and growth of clients’ businesses.
- To escalate claims with Insurers’ Claims Team and ensure they are managed promptly and efficiently.
- To prepare monthly management reports and business updates for management meetings.
- To monitor Premium Payment Warranty status and ensure customers make premium settlement on time.
- To Perform other ad-hoc assignments which may be assigned as and when required.
Requirements:
- Someone who possesses a strong desire to innovate and find new ways to grow the business and maximise cross-selling opportunities where possible.
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in related field.
- Minimum regulatory requirements - PGI, BCP, ComGI, Health Insurance, M5, M9 certificates for registration as Broking and FA representative with MAS.
- Worked at least 3 years of experience in the insurance industry.
- Highly motivated, a team player with good communication & interpersonal skills.
- Proficient with MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
Annual renumeration and Benefit Package will be negotiable, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
