Responsibilities:
As an Engineering Geologist (Mining) at Azure Mining Technology, you will be responsible for:
• Conducting preliminary exploratory surveys of coals and coal seam gas deposits.
• Prospecting for coal and coal seam gas reserves.
• Initiating exploration of coal and coal seam gas reserves.
• Performing preliminary assessments of coal and coal seam gas reserves deposits
• Coordinating in industrialization of innovative concepts
• Preparing and supervising the production of laboratory reports and scientific papers.
• Overseeing the generation of lab reports and scholarly articles.
• Managing the creation of scientific papers and laboratory documents.
• Studying the structure, nature, and formation of the Earth's crust.
• Investigating the composition, structure, and genesis of the Earth's crust.
• Researching the formation and characteristics of the Earth's crust.
• Analyzing and date fossils and rock layers.
• Investigating the age and chronology of fossils and geological strata.
• Examining and date rock formations and fossilized remains.
• Studying the effects of natural events on the formation of the Earth's surface.
• Examining the impact of natural events on the Earth's surface.
• Investigating how natural processes shape the Earth's topography.
• Assessing the influence of erosion, sedimentation, earthquakes, and volcanic activity on landform development.
• Carrying out exploration to determine resources present.
• Conducting exploratory missions to identify available resources.
• Executing resource assessments through exploration activities.
• Investigating the presence of resources by exploring geological specimens.
• Conducting surveys of variations in the Earth's gravitational and magnetic fields.
• Surveying changes in the Earth's gravity and magnetic fields.
• Analyzing fluctuations in gravitational and magnetic forces on Earth.
• Examining variations in gravitational and magnetic fields through surveys.
• Investigating the propagation of seismic waves.
• Studying the transmission of seismic waves.
• Analyzing seismic wave propagation for earth structure assessment.
• Investigating the causes of earthquakes and stress states in the Earth's crust.
• Conducting laboratory and field research, including aerial and ground surveys.
• Performing studies in both controlled environments and natural settings.
• Executing surveys using aerial, ground, and drill hole techniques.
• Participating in other tasks assigned by your manager.
Skills and experience required:
• Minimum 2 years working experience in the exploration of coal and coal seam gas deposit and research, Chinese coal mines preferred
• Understanding about China's coal industry development and research management model
• Bachelor's, Master's, or higher degrees in Mineral Prospecting and Exploration.
Other requirements:
• Hard-working and proactive
• Detail-oriented, well-organized in work
• Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English and in Chinese (Mandarin preferred)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
