Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk who is numerate, with experience working in an accounting function within a busy Finance Team is required for a well-established UK leading manufacturers based in Hyde, Cheshire, North West England.
SALARY: Competitive + Benefits (20 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays (rising 1 Day each Year over 5 Calendar Years + 4% Pension + 1 x Life Assurance)
LOCATION: Hyde, Cheshire, North West England
JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
WORKING HOURS: 35 Hours per Week, 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday
JOB OVERVIEW
We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk who is numerate, organised with experience working within a Finance Team.
Working as the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk you will be responsible for the full purchase ledger process, from purchase orders through to invoices and reconciliation.
As the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk you will need previous experience working within a similar environment and be an excellent team player.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Accounts Assistant / Purchase Ledger Clerk include:
• Matching, checking, coding invoices and delivery notes
• Working out VAT payments
• Making payments via BACS
• Processing staff expenses
• Setting up of new supplier accounts and maintaining existing account details
• Reconciliation of supplier statements
• Processing invoices on a credits within a paperless office environment
• Managing petty cash
• Being first point of contact for all relevant enquiries
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
• Experience working within a similar role
• Experience of working within a team
DESIRABLE SKILLS
• Working in foreign currency
• Experience of working with an ERP system.
• Basic Excel proficiency
