DUTIES

Your duties as a People Business Partner will include:

Leadership Partnership & People Strategy:

• Partner with senior leaders and managers to identify business drivers and people challenges, using data-driven insights to support decision-making

People Services Expertise:

• Offer comprehensive support on People Services commitments, including reward and recognition systems and employee well-being programs

• Ensure timely completion of cyclical People Services activities, providing support and oversight to leadership and management

Organisational Development & Change:

• Lead organisational redesign projects, support cultural change, and coach managers on complex people-related challenges

Centre of Expertise Leadership:

• Act as the Trust's lead on a designated expertise area, developing policies and practices related to EDI, mental health, or employee value proposition

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

• Oversee the Assistant People Business Partner, fostering their development and supporting the broader People Services team

• Work closely with the People Services Leadership team to deliver the Trust’s strategy, keeping up to date with best practices and regulatory changes


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working in an HR generalist role

• Experience partnering with senior leadership to develop people solutions to complex people challenges

• Experience in supporting managers in all areas of people matters

• Experience in developing/updating policies

• Sound working knowledge and understanding of UK employment legislation

DUTIES

• Build relationships within client business areas and across the business in order to develop an understanding of commercial drivers and build credibility through influencing and challenging senior managers

• Develop, maintain and review a people plan in client areas that achieves business objectives and supports People strategies, brokering the services of the wider People Services team where appropriate

• Support senior managers to develop their target operating model through business transformation and organisation change

• Build strong relationships with the wider People Services team to facilitate forecasting and planning of activities to support the delivery of People Plans and the People Strategy and ensure effective and timely implementation of People Services initiatives and cyclical work

• Provide statistical information and analysis to management and identify areas where People interventions are required to improve business performance, coaching senior managers and colleagues about current risks and benefits

• Support, advise and coach senior managers in the management of complex people/ER issues, adopting a commercially focused, pragmatic approach to managing risk


CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)

• CIPD membership level 7 or relevant experience of working to this level

• Understands how People strategies and interventions support overall Business Strategies and Goals and able to drive business performance through effective people planning, brokering the services of the wider People Services team where necessary

• Experienced HR generalist covering employee relations; equality, diversity & inclusion; resourcing & talent management; reward; and L&D

• Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and the implications for case management. Understands how to mitigate risk and how changes in legislation impact Policies & Procedures

• Experience of supporting and coaching senior managers to identify root causes, create and embed People interventions to create a positive climate

• Familiar with the key stages in change management and principles of organisation design and able to apply this knowledge to planning and conducting consultation processes associated with reorganisations and TUPE transfer
