Job Title: Working Supervisor Job Type: Permanent Location: Peterborough and surrounding areas Salary: £36,000 per annum, plus Company vehicle / fuel card Our client, a property maintenance company responsible for carrying out repairs and maintenance works on social housing properties, are looking for an experienced Working Supervisor to oversee the running of a voids maintenance programmes. Main duties and responsibilities of a Working Supervisor:- • Pre survey/site audit voids and repairs and overseeing operations of sub-contractors and site personnel working mainly on void housing upgrades. • Managing the operatives on site efficiently and in a professional manner, ensuring work is being carried out correctly in accordance with Health & Safety policies. • Checking and recording attendance and timekeeping of subcontractors and operatives and maintaining and monitoring excellent standards of work and client satisfaction. • Surveying of properties and supervising subcontract trades, general labour to ensure the highest quality, health and safety are met, and compliance to their order requirements. • Supporting the senior management in the needs of the business. • Completion of site Health & Safety, quality and environmental inspections and all the job-related paperwork, ensuring compliance is adhered to at all times. • Coordinating delivery and pick up of materials and identifying materials required to carry out repair and installation to the required standard, ensuring the correct materials for works to be carried out. • Record keeping for Change Control tracking, assessment and monitoring. • Checking and registering materials and plant deliveries for compliance quality and quantity. • Attending subcontractor meetings pre-start or update progress meetings. • Maintaining quality control procedures. • Problem solving
Skills: • Able to run a safe site ensuring the highest quality (with support from a visiting Line Manager) • Computer literate (excel, word, outlook) • Good understanding of current Building Regulations, Health, Safety & Environmental legislation • Extensive experience of the construction industry • Knowledge of construction techniques, specifications, and details • Previous people management experience • Good communication skills and able to deal with clients, subcontractors and the internal team • Problem solving skills and accountability for decisions made • Commercial awareness • Ability to motivate themselves and others • Team working skills, with the ability to effectively delegate
Qualifications: • SSSTS a minimum • CSCS Supervisors card • First aid training • Full UK Driving license + own transport
