My client is an Australian process automation company providing cutting edge Consultancy services and design solutions to customers worldwide.
Description
The Senior Finance Accounts Manager is a key appointment for my client's rapidly growing business. The key day to day tasks include:
1. General Accounting:
a. Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
b. Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and compliance with accounting standards.
c. Highly skilled in general ledger reconciliations, debtors and creditors control, payroll tax, and fixed assets management
2. Financial Reporting:
a. Prepare quarterly and annual financial reports for the managing director.
b. Conduct analysis and provide insights into financial performance.
c. Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
3. Payroll Processing:
a. Manage the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
b. Address payroll-related queries and discrepancies.
4. Tax Compliance:
a. Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns by liaising with the external accountant
b. Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the company.
5. Process Improvement:
a. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in financial operations.
b. Implement best practices to streamline accounting procedures.
6. Vendor Management:
a. Liaise with vendors and negotiate terms to optimize cost-effectiveness.
b. Review and process vendor invoices in a timely manner.
7. Other tasks
a. The successful candidate will be required to build and implement a successful accounts department to take this role to the next level.
b. Coordinate and carry out all office administration including reception, mail, couriers, greeting clients and filing.
c. Maintain a clean and safe work space, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures.
Profile
The ideal candidate will have the following:
a. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
b. CPA or CA certification preferred.
c. Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role in a similar sized business
d. Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or equivalent).
e. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
f. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
g. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
h. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a tea
