Established in 1991, Air Powered Services is a privately owned company that specialises in supplying quality and modern compressed air equipment to the Industrial, Manufacturing & Construction industries throughout Australia. We hire, sell and service all aspects of compressed air equipment.

We have a full-time position available for a technician to join our workshop in Tullamarine.

About the Role

• Service, maintain, and repair industrial equipment
• Analyse and solve mechanical issues
• Data analysis to assess the performance of machinery
• Document machine safety and maintenance
• Communicate with and support other engineering staff
• Liaise with customers regarding repair and maintenance requirements
• Prepare drawings and designs for mechanical engineering work
• Construct and install new and/or modified mechanical equipment, components, power systems, etc
• General workshop duties as required

Qualifications and Skills

• Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering
• Minimum 5 years relevant and recent experience with industrial equipment
• Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and techniques
• Must have a keen eye in detecting and diagnosing faults in mechanical equipment
• Ability to repair and replace worn and defective parts and reassemble mechanical components
• Analytical ability to perform data analysis of systems and equipment
• Ability to manage competing priorities and have the capacity to manage own workload and prioritise tasks to achieve the level of service required
• Ability to meet timelines and deadlines
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively and independently and in a team environment and be customer focused
• Must be highly motivated, have a positive attitude and take pride in their work
• Compliance with OH&SE requirements on site and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental policies in the workplace
