Community Health Center Retail Pharmacy Technician

Cardinal Health is looking for a highly motivated technician to work in a company managed retail contract pharmacy. Our technicians play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication.
Bristol Community Health Center Pharmacy is a small in-house pharmacy owned by Southwest Virginia Community Health Systems, Inc. We are looking for an experienced certified pharmacy technician with at least 1 year of pharmacy experience that is organized and excellent at time management.
Pharmacy Hours: Monday - Wednesday 8:30am - 5:30pm, and Thursday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Responsibilities:
Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.
Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.
Be available to the customer/patients at all times and providing exceptional customer care and service.
Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.
Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions, preparing labels and calculating quantities.
Ensures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when needed.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Works with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340B.
Working with underinsured and uninsured patients on medication cost/access barriers by utilizing manufacturer coupons and income eligible resources.
Responsible for organizing and conducting patient delivery services.
Manages core pharmacy workflow and drives excellence in pharmacy operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program and registration in state in which the position is located.
Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification, preferred
At least 1-2 years with pharmacy technician related experience, preferred
340B experience preferred
Anticipated hourly range: $15.05 per hour - $22.10 per hour
