What Pharmacy Operations and Account Management contributes to Cardinal Health:
Pharmacy Operations and Account Management is responsible for strategic leadership direction, account management, and fiscal performance for assigned customers. Responsible for long-term relationship building and managing the success of the relationships with customers in order to achieve the goals and objectives identified by the customer and Cardinal Health.
Responsibilities:
- Directly lead and develop a team of people leaders
- Manage and maintain high level relationships within accounts & provide strategic direction within accounts
- Communicate capabilities and value proposition of all products and services
- Maintain and deepen business relationships to build long term relationships with a goal of becoming a trusted advisor
- Understand and communicate the customer perspective
- Analyze or review analysis of customer data to identify opportunities to improve profitability and value to the customer
- At a renewal opportunity or other significant customer event, take action to renew or revise offerings that maintain or add profitability and customer value
- Identify, collect, and act on sales opportunities including those identified at the delivery level
- Analyze customer business requirements; prepare and present fast-track proposals
- Work with customer to identify requirements for complex/hi-risk delivery
- Monitor account performance measures; execute changes as necessary and perform scheduled reviews
- Develop and manage execution of account plan, including quarterly strategy session with onsite account team. Plan should address actions required in response to projected changes in financial performance
- Update account plan to address actions that will increase Pharmacy Solution's profitability and long-term value to the customer
- Ensure resolution of invoice issues
- Manage business termination including post-mortems and updates to account plan
- Continue development/maintenance of the client relationship
- Utilize clinical and business resources to develop and direct corrective actions as necessary
- Work with Product Manager and field support to acquire and transition staff, systems, or services resources required to deliver on contractual agreements for new business and changes to existing services
- Prepare individual and summary budget and forecasts; present to Group VP - Sales & Customer Account Management for approval
- Review assigned account P&Ls and summary P&L for period-over-period and actual-over budget results; report on drivers for out-of-tolerance conditions and actions taken
- Interview, hire, and supervise Managers
- Set performance targets and provide feedback to Managers
Qualifications:
- Bachelors and Advanced degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
- PharmD or RPh with valid pharmacist licensure in any US state required
- Experience in pharmacy operations or related pharmacy background
- Experience leading and developing a team of direct reports required, with experience managing other people leaders preferred
- Prior experience managing large, complex customer accounts & experience in deal management and proposals
- Experience supporting c-suite executives within broad, large customer bases
- Influential leadership skills & ability to impact business decisions
- Demonstrated strong presentation skills
- Innovative & strategic thought leader with strong critical thinking & problem-solving skills
- Ability to serve as a leader and strategist capable of growing a business in a highly competitive category
- Possess a strong sense of teamwork and collaboration including interacting with professionals at all levels & cross functional teams
- Candidate will need to live in region
- Ability to travel 75%

Anticipated salary range: $128,200 - $207,165
