This role will have you leading a team of professionals overseeing the project lifecycle – business acquisition through delivery, managing our Provincial portfolio of work, and building relationships with our Provincial Clients and subconsultants to deliver exciting, fast-paced, and important infrastructure projects.

We need a Director, Provincial Business Line who is versatile, and who possesses exceptional communication, analytical and management skills. In this role you will lead a large team of professionals across multiple offices in the design of multi-million-dollar transit and infrastructure projects, will take a leadership role in developing and executing our business plan and will oversee, manage, and build our portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities:
- Act as a Project Director and oversee Project Managers and/or Team Leader on relevant projects, tasks, and assignments. Our Project Managers are responsible for the preparation of technical reports and documentation of activity for clients, executing projects in accordance with PMBOK principles and Parsons Guidelines, and promoting technical excellence and quality assurance of project tasks and deliverables.
- Lead, grow and develop infrastructure team based out of any of our multiple offices (Markham, Toronto, Oakville, and London) in the Greater Toronto Region.
- Manage, coach, motivate and provide leadership for staff to provide high-quality services and innovative solutions to complex infrastructure design challenges involving multiple stakeholders.
- Lead and oversee the preparation of technical reports and documentation of activity for clients, and promote technical excellence and quality assurance of project tasks and deliverables.
- Provide effective and efficient management of relevant day-to-day operations, including scheduling, assigning, and reviewing work to achieve project objectives and outcomes.
- Be a differentiator in business development activities and undertake leadership roles in proposal preparation including assistance in developing project methodology, work programs, schedules, and budgets.
- Maintain an awareness of trends, developments and advancements in relevant fields and the broader industry to retain technical competency and provide state-of-the-art services and advice to our clients.
- Act as the representative with clients and selected subcontractors from business acquisition through delivery.
- Collaborate with Business Development; act as a key client manager and seller/doer to market and secure additional work with provincial, regional, and municipal clients.
- Capture leadership for key RFP pursuits that establish Parsons as a premier service provider.
- Client management of key Infrastructure clients.
- Work closely and instill strong collaboration with the Director: Municipal Service Line and be a champion of “One Infrastructure”
- Follow-up on instructions and commitments associated with our positioning in the marketplace.
- Participate in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of clients.
- Establish the program requirements for all areas of the project and monitor the draft and final deliverables for adherence to these criteria.
- Work with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and plans for the various elements of a project.
- Ensure our business goals are realized or exceed goals established in our business plans.
- Work with the key project individual to devise and execute action plans to rectify potential cost overruns or delays, or to accommodate significant changes to the scope of work. Advise the client and company management of any such changes.
- Promote technical and commercial excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or demonstrated experience in your area of expertise coupled with strong business acumen.
- A recognized leader in the GTA Infrastructure business
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant technical experience, including 5 years of successful technical leadership and project management experience with key clients.
- Demonstrated ability and experience in training, mentoring, motivating, leading, and supervising a team of highly qualified professional staff.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Excellent understanding of relevant infrastructure engineering issues and stakeholders’ requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.
