It is a locum role where you will be on an initial 6-month contract with the potential to be extended!
You will benefit from hybrid working!
In this role you will be part of a 9 person team and will be supporting the Adult Social Care with the backlog of Safeguarding cases.
You will be allocated approximately 5 safeguarding / section 42 assessments per week.
As a Qualified Social Worker within this team, you will have the following responsibilities:
• Assessment and Support Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals' needs, working closely with service users, families, and other professionals. Develop and implement personalized support plans that promote independence and address identified needs.
• Safeguarding: Play a key role in safeguarding vulnerable adults. Recognize signs of abuse or neglect, take appropriate action, and work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of service users.
• Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and choices of service users. Work closely with individuals to empower them in decision-making processes and liaise with external agencies to ensure that their views are heard and respected.
• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with a range of professionals, including healthcare providers, therapists, and housing services, to provide holistic and coordinated support to service users.
• Community Engagement: Actively engage with the local community to raise awareness of adult social care services. Promote initiatives that enhance community inclusion and reduce social isolation among service users.
Requirements:
• 1 year of qualified Social Work experience
• Completed ASYE
• DBS on the Update Service or happy to apply for one
• 5 years of satisfactory references
• Driving License with access to a vehicle
• SWE Registered
