Temp to Perm Class 2 Driver Wanted!

Pay Rate: £15 per hour (PAYE only)
Our client, a leading retail distribution company in Burton on Trent, is seeking experienced Class 2 Drivers to join their team for ongoing work. This role is ideal for drivers with strong communication skills and a minimum of 6 months driving experience (2 years preferred). Job Details:
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday
Start Times: Between 12:00am and 3:00am
Daily Hours: 8-12 hours per shift
Duties:
Cage work
Typically delivering to 4-6 stores per run
Routes may include trips to London
Drivers are responsible for bringing back empty cages but are not required to reload
Simple end-of-day tasks: refilling AdBlue and washing the truck
Occasional nights out required, with £26 paid directly to the driver and coverage of hotel/parking fees
Training & Support:
New drivers will be paired with an experienced driver for a day to see if the role is a good fit
Clear communication is key – drivers must contact the office if parking is uncertain or if other issues arise during deliveries
Tight delivery schedules, but agency drivers are given some flexibility
Requirements:
Minimum of 6 months Class 2 driving experience (2 years preferred)
Strong communication skills, especially when managing delivery logistics
Willingness to work occasional Saturdays during the holiday season
Flexibility for night-outs when required
Benefits:
Internal Pay Structure: £38,500 for a 48-hour week (most drivers average 42-46 hours)
Same pay for bank holidays
Agency rate of £15 per hour (PAYE only)
