Job Description
GfK’s Global Account team is searching for highly motivated Sales and Client Service professionals to join our U.S. team in New York (can be remote). In this role, you will work with multinational accounts headquartered in the U.S. driving client relationships, developing new opportunities, and building new business. The position is within GfK’s Digital business and will initially focus on our core Point of Sale business.
You will...
- Own client relationships for an existing long-term account
- Develop new business opportunities at existing and new clients
- Drive value for clients through the implementation of POS driven insights and recommendations.
- Establish GfK as a trusted business partner with high ROI.
- Develop sales strategy including white spots, new business, and cross-selling opportunities
- Identify and address account needs through regular business discussions
- Assume a leading role in contract negotiations (renewal and new) including rate card based pricing and appropriate GfK discounting policies
- Develop proposals/offers to GfK standards including compliance
- Train clients on GfK POS tools, methodologies and core measurements
- Work with clients to ensure deliverables are optimized to address client needs. Manage deliveries with Global Operations. Review deliverables and present impactful data insights
- Deliver presentations/insights to clients on a regular basis as agreed in the contract
- Use CRM/CIDB for sales forecasts and related client financials
You have...
- 4 – 7 years of demonstrated, successful experience in sales/servicing role within the Point of Sale industry or using Point of Sale data in a research capacity for a manufacturer or retailer.
- Specific industry experience in Consumer Technical Goods including IT, Telecomm, Consumer Electronics, or Home Appliances knowledge is strongly preferred. Candidates with a background in CPG will also be considered.
- The ability to analyze and interpret data into meaningful insights for our clients, supported by outstanding presentation capabilities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. We work in a highly collaborative, global environment, therefore effective communication and cultural IQ is critical.
- Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
