Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning.

Job Summary

Position Overview

The Greensboro EHS Manager will report to the Ohio Valley Regional EHS Director.  This position is responsible for developing and implementing EHS solutions in support of Cardinal Health assets in North Carolina.  These solutions are designed to manage, mitigate, and whenever possible, eliminate EHS risks to Cardinal Health employees, facilities, and the communities in which the company operates.  This position will have one or more direct reports. This position also manages EHS staff at other Cardinal Health operations in North Carolina.

This role is then responsible for thoughtful deployment to impacted field teams and customers in coordination with channel marketing and training. What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health

Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.

Accountabilities

• Responsible for cross-training in multiple areas of the warehouse including Inbound, ValueLink and Outbound
• Receive large boxes on warehouse dock, scan product with Radio Frequency (RF) scanner, and input product information into computer
• Break down cases of product and operate material handling equipment (MHE) to replenish warehouse
• Utilize voice to pick system to pick large case items with material handling equipment or to pick small unit of measure items and place on cart
• Palletize large items to skid and wrap for shipment
• Pack small items in boxes 
• Drive MHE as required by job duty. Example equipment in the facility includes: stand-up order picker (cherry picker), stand-up forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, and walkie rider.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1 - 2 years related experience preferred
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds and be able to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift of 8 hours or more preferred
• Must be able to work overtime with little or no advance notice
• MHE experience and RF scanner and/or voice to pick experience preferred
• Willingness to learn to operate MHE equipment and rotate into various areas of the warehouse 
• Accountable to Cardinal Health’s EH&S as well as QRA policies and procedures 
• Work at heights up to 25 feet consistently when operating an order picker (cherry picker) and wearing an MHE safety harness
• Adherence to site specific safety regulations including wearing required personal protective equipment such as steel-toed safety shoes and MHE safety harness
• Aptitude to work in a fast paced distribution environment while meeting hourly established distribution quotas and performance standards 
• Self-motivated with ability to work in a team-oriented environment with limited supervision and an emphasis on customer satisfaction
• Ability to comprehend and accurately process paperwork in accordance with policies and procedures
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and general computer skills desired
• Flexibility/adaptability coupled with good multi-tasking skills

What Channel Marketing contributes to Cardinal Health

Marketing is responsible for assessing customer needs, market conditions and competition to inform business strategy. Marketing implements the strategy through developing, commercializing, and monitoring the appropriate products and services. Channel Marketing is responsible for defining the product/service and market strategy and life cycle management including customer need identification, market research, product or service offering, pricing, positioning, promotion, branding, and distribution to drive customer loyalty, sales growth and improved profitability.

This is an essential channel marketing role that is accountable for the execution of critical projects and tactics to deliver against the downstream channel strategy for Embedded Pharmacy within the OptiFreight® Logistics marketing team. 

The Channel Manager, Product & Solutions Marketing executes marketing strategies for products to differentiate Cardinal Health’s products and to grow revenue, market share, and customer awareness. Based on Marketing strategies and initiatives outlined by the Sr. Channel Manager, the Channel Manager develops marketing content and campaigns for Embedded Pharmacy. This job coordinates cross-functionally to gain insights and alignment across relevant stakeholders, manages relationships with internal and external partners, and reports on the performance of marketing campaigns.

Accountabilities

• In conjunction with the Sr. Channel Manager and product stakeholders from a variety of functions, develops goals and key performance indicators for marketing campaigns for each product and/or service in individual portfolio. Executes marketing campaigns against established goals for engagement metrics, return on investment, and other metrics.
• Manages content for marketing campaigns using content created by vendors, internally developed content, or a combination. Evaluates quality and alignment with marketing objectives, and coordinates with Legal team to ensure that all content is compliant with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Monitors key performance indicators throughout Marketing campaigns and makes minor adjustments to content and customer targeting as necessary. Coordinates with Sr. Channel Manager as necessary to make significant adjustments in response to poor performance.
• In coordination with Downstream Product Management and Development teams, help support launches for new products/solutions.
• Performs straightforward analyses of data from marketing campaigns. Coordinates with business intelligence teams or external vendors as necessary to track performance.
• Reports on the performance of Marketing campaigns during regular meetings with Sr. Channel Manager, broader sales calls, and meetings with internal product stakeholders. Summarizes and clearly communicates key performance indicators and provides insight on high or low performance.
• Analyzes market research, trends, projections, and innovations to formulate concepts for new marketing campaigns and approaches for products and services.
• Develops understanding of competitive landscape and participates in industry conferences and other events to promote Cardinal Health’s products and services and to stay abreast of market developments.
• Executes general contract management and administrative duties and general support for senior staff members as needed.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders to fulfill applicable financial and operational needs of orders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• 3+ years experience in related field
• Familiarity with logistics, healthcare preferred
• Experience working independently, using good judgment and leadership abilities to manage short and long-term priorities and projects.
• Demonstrates strong financial acumen and logical decision making in the general business environment.  Understands and can demonstrate sound thought processes as it relates to pricing, deal structure and assessing financial implications.
• Demonstrates basic knowledge of marketing disciplines and concepts necessary for building a business & marketing plan, this includes identifying the appropriate channels to market. Has the ability to understand market trends and competitive positioning and can establish and/or adjust the product offering.
• Proficient in mining research/data and interpreting findings to solve problems and tell a story.
• Microsoft Office experience with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Maintains a positive attitude with a focus on creative solutions and strong internal partnerships.
• Ability to travel up to 10%
