The Opportunity
The Project Controls Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and monitoring of projects within the assigned line of business.
They are responsible for the establishment and maintenance of project control systems, including cost, schedule, and risk management. This position requires a highly analytical and organised individual with a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities will include
Prepare project reports reflecting progress, financial and resource information, actual costs, earned value and forecasts
Ensure all cost, schedule and risk project reporting and activities comply with company and client needs
Support the project control functions on the project
Quality control of timesheet management for all staff/contractors on the project and liaising with project management to ensure that timesheets are accurate and address any issues as they arise
Collate and compile internal monthly reporting activities
Expense tracking and forecasting
Participation in monthly Client meetings
Produce monthly claims
Preparation of Change Notices and managing the project change register
Review project program and provide summaries
Cost control and some scheduling tasks
Qualifications & Experience
Relevant degree in Business, Engineering or considerable experience
8 + years’ experience in Project Controls
Proficiency in Cost Control concepts and tools is a must
Knowledge of data analysis tools such as PowerBI, MS Excel etc
Working exposure to industry standard scheduling tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project etc
Well-developed communication and time management skills.
Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
